We loved our short but sweet stay here! Lovely rooms, beautiful mozaïeque bathrooms, salt water pool, lots of green and tranquility in the garden around the building. Walking distance from the beach. The staff Gianni and Ariana are amazing, breakfast is complete and the owner Cosimo and his wife are very friendly. We highly recommend this place that is very clearly made and kept with love and care. Grazie mille for having us! Toufic and Charlotte
Excellent welcome Lovely property Excellent breakfast It's a shame the shower wasn't very hot 😩
We stayed at this property for 17 days in the second half of August (two families in two triple rooms), which we had chosen with great care (given the length of our stay), and we must confirm that everything met (and even exceeded) our expectations. The Relais Excelsa is a sort of "corner of paradise and tranquility" in a Gallipoli that, by contrast, is anything but tranquil in August (overcrowded and poorly managed). Fortunately, the B&B is tucked away from the center of Gallipoli and is practically on the sea (our main reason for our vacation). We also booked umbrellas, sun loungers, and parking at the Capirigna beach, a 15-minute walk or 3-minute drive from the B&B. This beach is among the best-organized in the area and popular with young people, although a bit pricey, they offered us a welcome 25% discount as guests of the Relais Excelsa. Returning to the B&B, we particularly appreciated: 1) the property surrounded by greenery. When we drove in and the gate to the villa closed behind us, it felt like we were entering another world, filled with nature and silence interrupted only by the chirping of cicadas; 2) the spartan rooms, but with beautiful bathrooms featuring large showers, which are kept in excellent condition and clean; 3) the breakfast, always served with kindness and courtesy, with products either made on-site (fresh cakes every day) or purchased from the nearby artisan bakery (the delicious sweet wine tarallini and the ever-present pasticciotti). There was also (for me, a fundamental) a savory corner with hard-boiled or scrambled eggs with bacon daily, variously filled breads, and always fresh cured meats and cheeses. A basket of fresh seasonal fruit and the unmissable figs was always available. 4) The pool (which we rarely used, preferring Puglia's wonderful sea) is well-maintained and occupies a private, unobtrusive space. 5) The yoga classes offered by the property were also appreciated. In conclusion, a well-deserved 5 stars for the property and its management.
Great location and very friendly staff. Everything went wonderfully and smoothly.
My wife and I stayed here a week ago. A wonderful place, everything was perfect: the room was clean, and the pool was always beautiful and well-maintained. There was also a covered parking space and a fantastic breakfast. The friendly staff made you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back.
Beautiful place right on the seafront. Excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is that the rooms aren't soundproofed, so since we had a room facing the pool, we often heard the noise of the robot and even the noise of the people in the room next to us. The location is strategic, and they offer bicycles to explore the city center. I highly recommend it!
