Napoli Pride
About This Event
Napoli Pride is the main pride for southern Italy. Naples held the first pride in the Italian south in 1996, and 2026 marked its 30th anniversary. It is run by a committee of five local LGBTQ+ groups, led by Antinoo Arcigay Napoli and including the Associazione Trans Napoli, with the city council as co-organiser.
It has two parts. The Pride Park is about ten days of free talks, concerts, DJ sets and free HIV testing, held in the courtyard of the Real Albergo dei Poveri on Piazza Carlo III. Then comes the Saturday parade, which is free and open to everyone. In 2026 it left Piazza Giovanni Leone near Porta Capuana at 16:00 and reached Piazza Dante in the evening for the closing concert. Late June in Naples is very hot, so bring water.
The 2026 edition ran from 18 to 28 June under the slogan "30 Anni Dopo", with the parade on 27 June. The godparents were actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta and singers Leo Gassmann and BigMama. Traffic notices before the parade said 100,000 people were expected; we couldn't find a count from the day. In 2025 the community split over Gaza. The trans association ATN left the coordination after the platform refused to add "Palestina libera", and a separate "Arrevutamm Pride" was held. ATN was back on the committee in 2026. Turin hosts EuroPride in 2027. The 2027 Naples dates hadn't been announced when we checked; the parade is usually in late June or early July.
