Hotel Vaduz ⚠ Unverified Own this place?

There is no front desk and no staff at this hotel. No one to help you check in or do anything. The rooms are ok but lack amenities like an electric kettle or mini fridge. It was hot in the room too - and noise from the pedestrian street outside means you cannot sleep with the windows open. For the price it is not a very good deal.

Liked: It was centrally located in the Vaduz commercial area. The room was large enough with TV channels, including CNN. Disliked · It had no phone or fridge. Lack of phone is scandalous, requiring calling the hotel main number, which is a foreign number. If you have no cell phone or your plan does not cover making international calls you're out of luck. Plus there's no staff at the hotel, save the cleaning crew. This is important because you are told you must display a Clean Room card before 10 am to clean room. As I was not entitled to breakfast, I thought I'd sleep more. Messages to staff (only way to reach them) revealed no support. However. when I left the room at noon, I saw the cleaning crew and implored them to service my room, and they did. Finally, they require you to self check in, a somewhat complicated series of questions. Fortunately, a German guy helped me. I saw others struggling during my stay, with no phone at the table to call staff for help. I should add that when I arrived by bus was told the hotel was viewable. It wasn't, so I called the hotel's Liechtenstein number (Fortunately, I had a phone plan to do that) and a clueless woman answered, was not at the hotel and could not direct me. She wanted me to use Google maps. Fortunately, a local man pointed to where I would find the hotel. Lastly, when I left my room to walk around at 10 pm in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, it was dead. Nothing to do. Hardly anyone walking about. Liechtenstein was a great disappointment. Architecture ordinary, with only the prince's palace resembling Europe of old.

We stopped her for two nights whilst vising Liechtenstein. The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre and it's bright, yellow building so it can't be missed. It's a contactless reception, and the checking in process was very easy. The hotel was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and a decent size. The shower was very powerful and easy to operate. There's no air con in the room but that wasn't an issue as the windows opened fully, which allowed plenty of fresh air in the room. Breakfast wasn't included in our room rate, so I can't really comment on that. But it smelled lovely, when we left in the morning. They do have an ironing station located on the 3rd floor. I did have an issue finding it but a helpful young lady pointed me in the right direction. They also have a wellness spa located on the ground floor, which includes a sauna, sun lounges and complimentary tea. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a clean hotel and would definitely use again if visiting Vaduz.

We all know that Lichtenstein is very expensive. However, that knowledge shouldn't mean you have to accept poor service, and that's exactly what Vaduzerhof delivers. Self-service is taken to the extreme. Usually, when hotels have self-service check-in, there's someone on hand to help with any issues. Not here - I didn't see a single staff member during my stay. My room was spacious and modern but very spartan. It was also very hot and not obvious how to turn the heat down. Additionally, only one EU plug socket. There's a very small wellness area downstairs, but the sauna wasn't particularly good and soon became uncomfortably busy. The only pluses I found at Vaduzerhof were the free coffee at all hours in the breakfast room and a reasonably priced honesty bar- just make sure you have the right amount in cash to use it. The location, of course, is excellent as are the views of Vaduz Castle from the terrace. Overall, not a hotel I'd particularly care to return to.

The Vaduzerhof Hotel really is more of an Air B&B in an apartment block. There is no staffing. It's a self-serve kiosk in the lobby, and good luck if you need assistance. I'm not at all thrilled with the contactless set-up here. Parking was also an issue. There are a few complimentary spaces behind the hotel, however there was a lot of construction on the street next to the hotel. It would have been nice for the hotel to provide some directions as it was not obvious nor simple to park. We also found our room for 2 only had towels for one. Their service model meant nobody to contact, as the cleaning staff had left for the day. On the plus side, the room had a nice balcony with 2 chairs and great view of the main street of Vaduz and the castle on the hill. There was also a rather nice breakfast included. It's the European spread of meats, cheese, breads and some good espresso. That was the one bright spot about the hotel, I'll say. And we had free parking behind the hotel, once we figured out how to access it. So there are some plus points, but overall this was a disappointing hotel very lacking in any service. That would be fine for half the price, but at the price we paid, that was not good.

This hotel is located right near the main shopping strip so you are in the midst of shops, restaurants and local attractions. It is believed the castle with the start of the walking track to the castle located very close. Can not beat this hotel for convenience. There was a car park at the rear of the hotel that had plenty of spaces while we were there. Rooms are spacious enough and beds are reasonable size and reasonably comfy. Very clean hotel. Rooms were a little warm for my liking with no aircon but this was only a mild inconvenience- noting windows did open to let in some air. Please note this hotel uses an automated self check in so have your booking reference handy - it allows you to key your own cards. Breakfast was pretty basic but still covered enough options for both of us. Would definitely recommend- particularly given its location and cleanliness. Would

There is a new building being constructed next door. They start at 0700. Jackhammering in the street to wake the whole hotel at 0745. Work until after 1800. The room we received was 27.6 degrees while about 10-15 outside. With no AC we had to open the windows to cool it off and the construction noise was so loud we couldn't have a conversation in the room. We emailed to change rooms and didn't hear from them for 6 hours. And then didn't even know we had checked in! It's self check in so there is no one to help you if you need help. It gets worse but if you're still reading this and want to stay there then there is no helping you. Good luck!

Difficult to provide a coherent assessment. First of all, the positive. We had a very spacious and clean room where there was almost nothing wrong. Breakfast was fine with enough choice. Near the hotel is a huge construction site and the access to the parking lot of the hotel is not signposted from a signpost, but we came from the other direction and also the various navigation systems did not help us. So I called the phone number given at the Vaduzerhof, but did not consider that it was a b-smart group hotel. So I came out of some administrator somewhere in the world who couldn't help me. We then curled around Vaduz until we found a way to the hotel parking lot. In the “reception”, the hotel cleaners sat comfortably on a sofa and two armchairs to discuss. I wanted to do the self-check-in, and had entered our details in advance at the electronic check-in via the website, but I was informed that the room was not yet ready for occupancy. When I told my wife, the 4 cleaners moved back into the hotel corridor, I couldn't activate a key card as the room wasn't ready to move in yet, so I couldn't leave the luggage anywhere, then access from the electronic reception to the hotel was only possible with an activated key card. When we were finally able to move into our room, it was pleasant from the first impression, as already described. However, if that is possible at all with this concept of hotel, they should all rooms ending with 1,2,3,4 and 5 (e.g. 101-105) strictly avoid, they are all directly above the terrace and the entrance of the Restaurant Bar Altenbach and the lauteusik runs until midnight and the people stay until long after midnight on the terrace and talk not at night adjusted volume, but very loud. Sleeping with the window open is not possible until 03:00 at night, so you wake up in the morning from a twilight sleep with headaches that is interrupted again and again. Unreasonable, I will never book the Hotel Vaduzerhof again!
