Pride Liechtenstein (LiPride)
About This Event
LiPride is Liechtenstein's Pride. It's held in Schaan, the town next to Vaduz, and not in the capital itself. The LGBTIQA+ association FLay set it up. The first edition, on 11 June 2022 at the SAL hall, drew about 1,200 people according to the organisers. That's a big number for a country of under 40,000 people.
It's a one-day afternoon event rather than a long parade, with speeches from politicians and community groups, panel talks, live acts and stalls. The 2023 edition moved to the Lindahof in Schaan. So did the third, on 8 June 2024, which ran under the motto "I säg jo" ("I say yes") and pushed for civil marriage for same-sex couples. Parliament passed same-sex marriage that year, and it took effect at the start of 2025.
Schaan is a short bus ride from Vaduz, and the nearest rail links are via Buchs (Switzerland) or Feldkirch (Austria).
We couldn't confirm whether LiPride was held in 2025 or 2026. FLay lists the next LiPride for Saturday 5 June 2027 at the SAL in Schaan.
