About this place Sauna Tibet

Sauna Tibet is Eindhoven's dedicated men-only gay sauna and, by its own account, one of the largest in the Benelux. It sits south of the centre in leafy Genneper Park at Antoon Coolenlaan 10, a short drive or bike ride from town. The scale is what sets it apart: several dry saunas, two steam rooms, whirlpools, a plunge pool, a full-size swimming pool, a roof terrace and a bar, alongside the darker cruising areas you would expect from a gay sauna of this size. The crowd shifts with the programme. Regular fixtures include a Thursday youth day for under-25s and a bears-and-chubbies gathering on the second Saturday of the month, plus occasional themed days. It draws a mix of locals and visitors from across Noord-Brabant and the nearby Belgian border. It is open daily, from around midday until the early hours (later on Friday and Saturday). Bring or rent a towel, and check sauna-tibet.nl for current entry times, prices and event days before travelling out.

The only good Dutch men-only sauna... but more investment and renovation is needed...

I had terrible time and got violently sick afterwards... Don't recommend. Everything felt dirty and not in a good way.

A special sauna is a clean sauna, or a sauna with a perfect jacuzzi, a large swimming pool with a terrace where you can sunbathe and enjoy a nice meal. I don't understand why you only see negative reviews on the internet, but it is typically Dutch to be negative and to tear down what exists for a community or a particular property. In fact, it promotes society, sustains a minority, and keeps a group of people together through the services offered. What is more beautiful than bringing people together in a place where everything is good?

To be honest, I find the reviews posted recently striking. My experience is actually that maintenance and improvements are visibly and regularly carried out. Every time something is addressed, you clearly see progress. That gives me the impression that they are really making an effort to keep the sauna up-to-date and pleasant. The staff has also noticeably improved. There are now new employees working there who are socially skilled and friendly. Of course, the experience can vary per employee — sometimes it feels like a warm bath, sometimes a bit more neutral — but the general trend is positive. I have visited many gay saunas as well as regular saunas in my life, and in my opinion, Tibet is simply a good sauna. There are many facilities, a beautiful rooftop terrace, a lovely patio garden, and the food is fine and very affordable. The salads are highly recommended. Moreover, it is clean. That is why I do not quite understand the negative reviews. I am quite critical myself and pay attention to details, but my experience is predominantly positive. Yes, the cruising rooms could certainly use an upgrade in the long run, but honestly, I have rarely seen a truly beautifully designed cruising room worldwide. In short: Tibet is a nice, well-maintained, and reliable gay sauna that is clearly being worked on.

I have been several times and have always had a great time here; there is plenty to do and it is often nice and busy, especially on Sunday afternoons.
