This IS a 5 star hotel
What an amazing, wonderful hotel to stay at in The Hague! I visited with my daughter and we both loved and appreciated the goodie bag we were given upon departure. Everything was spectacular, the interiors are gorgeously decorated, the rooms are clean and comfortable, ambiance was beautiful, and the location was central and awesome. Even for being so central, no outside noise disturbed us. Also shoutout to the blackout curtains. We’ll definitely be coming back!
A business hotel just outside Amsterdam, but right next to the Overamstel metro station (4 minutes), which goes directly to Amsterdam Central Station. I would stay there again.
The location is great. The lobby is very nice. The breakfast room is relatively small when the hotel is full. The breakfast buffet was very good. Now for the downside: The room was too dark and too cold for my liking. The ventilation system ran constantly and couldn't be turned off. It was also noisy. According to reception, there are a few rooms where this is the case. They said they would check it again and possibly offer us a different room – but nothing happened. On the second day, when I got out of the shower and felt really cold (it was 19 degrees Celsius in the room and bathroom), I went back to reception. A friendly staff member came upstairs with me to check it. Finally, the heating for the room was switched on centrally via the computer, and we were able to heat the room up to 21 degrees Celsius. As I said, another staff member hadn't been able to do this the day before. There was no safe in the room – despite the description online. When I asked where the safe was, I was told: under the television. He wasn't there, and the receptionist was quite surprised herself. The lighting in the room was also a bit of a mess – it was either all on or all off. Individual controls weren't possible. The hallways leading to the rooms were simply dark – you could barely see the door lock. We received a goody bag upon departure, but that couldn't redeem the experience. All in all, I didn't find the price of €230 per night justified for what was offered.
I had a very pleasant stay at The Collector in The Hague. The location is excellent — it is incredibly convenient and makes it easy to get almost anywhere in the city on foot. The hotel itself is cozy and charming rather than being a large, impersonal property, which I really appreciated. I was kindly given a lovely room that was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was especially comfortable, and I felt very relaxed during my stay. My room overlooked a small courtyard, which made it quiet and peaceful. The only downside was that the windows could not be opened. At times, I would have liked some fresh air in the room. I mentioned this to the staff, but unfortunately, they were unable to move me to another room. While this was disappointing, it was the only significant issue I encountered during my stay. I only had breakfast at the hotel once. In my opinion, it was fairly average and did not stand out, especially considering the many excellent cafés and breakfast options available nearby. One of the highlights of the hotel is the staff. The front desk team was always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel’s unique decoration, comfortable rooms, excellent location, and warm atmosphere made it a memorable experience, and I would happily consider staying there again.
This is my go to hotel in Den Haag! I’ve stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints. It is incredibly family friendly and offers great accommodations if you are traveling with little kids. The location is absolutely ideal for exploring the city center on foot. The breakfast is delicious and always a great start to the morning. If you're booking a stay here, I highly recommend asking for 'The Gallery' room, it makes the experience even better. 10/10 would stay again. All the staff working here are friendly and approachable this goes a long way and I always look forward to my next stay with them.
