Food tasted great, but the tartar and monkfish gave us food poisoning

What a treat to behold! Found this on a recent trip while finishing up a walking tour. Very unlike the kitschy tourist traps. The food is elevated versions of polish staples, but with seasonal ingredients. The ceviche was fresh and flavors superb and perfectly balanced. The Pirogi was seasoned with summer truffles and radishes and mushrooms. Highly recommend!

I had higher expectations for this place in terms of the food served. The good reviews and Michelin recommendation led us to choose this place to celebrate our anniversary. The dessert was great, but the rest was rather disappointing.

The waiter made our experience at this wonderful restaurant memorable. He shared his knowledge of local wines and produce freely which gave an additional dimension to our culinary enjoyment. We really enjoyed the Polish riesling he recommended. At his suggestion, we also bought some local in season Polish cherries at the local market and got to explore a part of Gdansk we hadn't been to.

The modern atmosphere was very pleasant. The amuse-bouche was surprising and interesting. I was disappointed by the Chablis I was served. It was unbearably acidic. With my ceviche, which had sweet notes (pomegranate and passion fruit), the acidity was so overwhelming that I stopped after that starter. It's a shame because I had my eye on the Black Angus for the main course, which I would have loved. But my stomach is in turmoil from the acidity of that Chablis. Avoid it at all costs. I'll try to come back tomorrow and I'll try a red wine. Keep up the good work, but pay attention to your wine selection.

I really enjoyed the restaurant with its delicious tartare and aperitif. It also has a Michelin recommendation. And for good reason.

There is one problem with the old town of Gdansk. There is an insane amount of everything and everyone here. Places to eat, for example. And this problem is the challenge of Niesztuka. If you don't look for this place, you might not notice it. And you will simply walk past it. Because there is too much of everything here in the old town. But! If you find this place and if you are lucky and there are free seats, then you have arrived at a place where everything is in season and in the best possible version. The chef has put together an excellent menu, the waiters create a simple but warm atmosphere. We tried zucchini flowers, potato dumplings and a fish dish. We finished with dessert, plums, crispy and crunchy curd and a mixture of something else… everything was great. Definitely recommend, it is a perfect place, with great people. A place that can be out of place!

We had a truly excellent meal here. Probably the best during our week long trip to Poland. The food is creative (in a good way), excellent flavour combinations and perfect portion sizes. Our server was (warm) Patrick and he was so good. Friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the food and the wines. 10/10

Striving and reaching but still a way to go. A well judged and inventive halibut ceviche was pinned down by a cantina corny chowder and a confusing white asparagus on green olives and creamed chickpeas. Few wines by the glass.
