Meander

Meander is a queer-friendly cocktail bar on Rua de São Bento that occupies a position between Príncipe Real and the commercial gay scene of the main bars: more cocktail-forward and aesthetically considered than the circuit-oriented venues, less alternative-arts-programmed than Casa Independente. The bar attracts a mixed queer crowd that appreciates good drinks in a comfortable setting, and functions particularly well as a pre-club option for those heading later to Trumps or the Bairro Alto clubs. The São Bento location is convenient for visitors staying in Príncipe Real, Bairro Alto, or the Chiado neighbourhood.
