What a magical place. The warmest of welcomes into an intimate dining space. From that moment we knew this was going to be something special. Alevro is humble host with authentic storytelling of the food and its history. The menu is carefully curated and accompanied by a narrative of its ingredients and flavours. It felt like we had been invited into his home to enjoy an evening of carefully prepared food by Luisa. If you are seeking a fantastic dinner where you are made to feel you are there to be celebrated then make sure you visit. You will not be disappointed. We had dinner at this small, traditional Porto restaurant and had a wonderful time. From the moment you ring the bell, you'll feel the intimate, family atmosphere. The owner and his wife, Luisa, the sole chef, welcomed us with great kindness and warmth. The dishes are truly excellent and prepared with great care. An added bonus is that everything is homemade, from the desserts to the delicious chocolate liqueur we were offered at the end of the meal. An authentic place that we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who wants to savor authentic Porto cuisine!

Very friendly service and the sauces and jams are absolutely amazing, the chef and co owner has a fantastic approach of slow cooking and blending spices together. You just have to sit down, relax and let you be carried by your waiter through a very specific regional cuisine.

SO GOOD!! We discovered this by accident on our last night in Porto. Beautiful, delicious food and wine. The owners are the chef/patrons and are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the food they serve. Each dish is curated and the flavours balance perfectly. Highly recommend!

My friends and I had lunch here last week on the first day of our Porto holiday, and what a fantastic way to start the trip!! Álvaro was so warm, welcoming and professional. He explained every dish with incredible knowledge and passion, giving us a fascinating insight into traditional Portuguese cuisine. His wife Luisa is a magnificent chef. The food was absolutely delicious - a burst of new flavours and mouth-watering combinations made from fresh, local ingredients. Together Àlvaro and Luisa have created a truly special culinary experience for their guests, and their love for their food and for eachother shines through in every bite. It was undoubtedly one of the best meals of my life - my only sadness was that I was unable to share the experience with my fiancé, I plan to return to Porto with him next year, and can't wait to bring him to Dama Pé de Cabra. What a wonderful restaurant! We were hoping for some local food from Porto and had read good reviews of this place. Not only is the food delicious but the service was exceptional. The owner and his wife were so attentive, everything was explained to us before we ordered and they did the same for every table. The care and attention to detail made a lovely meal even more special. They deserve every success - we thoroughly recommend a visit to Dama Pé de Cabra!

The owner, incredibly kind and fluent in French, contributed to making our experience particularly enjoyable. We would also like to give a special mention to his wife, who was always smiling and attentive. Although she was very busy in the kitchen, she took the time to chat with us, which we greatly appreciated. We truly felt the warmth and hospitality of Portugal through their welcome, their smiles, and their helpfulness. The dishes, flavorful and carefully prepared, perfectly met our expectations, while the service was impeccable. And a special mention goes to the absolutely delicious chocolate cake, which was the perfect ending to this wonderful, indulgent experience. 😋 We particularly enjoyed this experience, both from a culinary and a personal perspective. If I had to sum up my experience in one word, it would be "hospitality." We received a particularly warm welcome from a friendly, attentive, and caring team who took the time to explain the menu. The dishes, both traditional and delicious, are based on a true concept of sharing, which makes the whole experience even more convivial. The setting is very pleasant, and I highly recommend the chocolate cake for dessert—undoubtedly the best I've ever tasted! But what surprised me most was the welcome. The team's kindness and the gentleness of their communication made us feel comfortable from beginning to end, for a truly memorable evening. I highly recommend it!
