A fantastic place to hang out with friends. Great atmosphere and good music.
Myself and my misses stumbled into this great little bar about a year ago, and had a great night. Gerard, the owner is incredibly welcoming and when we returned 6 months later not only did he remember us but walked around the bar and gave us both a great hug. On our first visit we ended up in a club opposite with him and met some of his mates. We had a great night. We are a straight couple for context. Not that it makes any difference to us. We will always make a point of popping in when we are in Benidorm to say hello to Gerard as he is a lovely bloke. In fact, we get married in a week and will be in Benidorm the week after and 100% we will be popping in to get a hug.
G-Spot is a quaint and cosy bar that could not be rivalled in terms of the first-class hospitality demonstrated by its owner, the extensive drinks selection, an enjoyable choice of music, and a cosmopolitan mix of jovial and friendly patrons who are just as quick as the owner, Gerad, to make you feel welcome. From the outside, the bar is instantly eye-catching, adorned with vibrant colours and lights—a true visual delight when compared to the drab exteriors of other bars in the same area. It is easy to assume that a bar in Benidorm would be of a substantial size, capable of hosting dozens of squiffy patrons at any given time. I was, gratefully, mistaken and pleasantly surprised by just how intimate and inviting the bar actually is. Upon entering G-Spot, Gerad is quick to greet you at the door with a warm and friendly hug. It is his mission to welcome guests as promptly and personally as possible, which greatly enhances the cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. There is a varied seating arrangement, primarily consisting of comfortable bar stools positioned at several high tables around the perimeter, along with a number of stools located directly at the bar. The bar seating is particularly sought after, as guests enjoy feeling welcomed by Gerad while catching up, sharing stories, and enjoying a laugh or two with him. In the corner of the bar area sits a beautiful multi-coloured wingback armchair which, dare I say, is fit for a ‘queen’. The décor is diverse and colourful without being overwhelming. A thoughtfully arranged mix of lighting throughout the bar and seating area is tasteful and subtle rather than overly bright, adding to the relaxed and comfortable ambiance. An extensive selection of spirits is available and, had I spent more time in Benidorm, I am certain I would have sampled many more offerings. However, I was introduced to a mango-flavoured gin paired with Sprite; the balance between the mango and the citrus notes of the mixer was delightful and an excellent recommendation. A television within the bar plays music videos—often Eurovision entries—which I thoroughly enjoyed, as I rarely catch the songs until after the competition concludes. The varied playlist spans multiple genres and frequently sparks engaging conversations among guests. Whenever my partner and I visited, there was always a delightful mix of people from a wide range of countries, along with friendly regulars who were eager to strike up conversation and make newcomers feel just as welcome as Gerad does. This is the type of establishment where you arrive as a stranger but undoubtedly leave as a friend. G-Spot is far more than an average bar one visits simply for a drink; it is a genuine institution within Benidorm, drawing visitors back time and again for its warm, jovial atmosphere and exceptional ownership. It is truly the kind of place you would plan a trip around solely to return to this individual bar. In summary, among all the establishments in Benidorm, G-Spot is undoubtedly the place to be. Gerad, thank you for your warmth, hospitality, and friendliness. You have the winning formula for a top-class bar—don’t ever change. Diolch yn fawr!
Hands down the best gay bar we've ever been in. We are touring Europe in our motorhome and we were unsure about heading out on the town in Benidorm, but the second we walked in the door we were greeted with a huge smile and a hug from the owner Gerrad. An absolutely lovely person who made us feel so welcomed. The bar attracts a lovely bunch of people, we spoke to people from all over the world snd had such a great time. We'll definitely be back! Xx
