El Rincón de Pau

A very beautiful, spacious and clean place. The receptionist's service was impeccable. A very comfortable place to disconnect from the city for a few days. It has common areas, a swimming pool, a solarium, a barbecue, and a fully equipped kitchen in the room.

We stayed for a weekend. We went with our pet to relax, and La Casa Preciosa was beautiful. The rooms had every detail thought of. The service was fantastic. The facilities were fabulous. I highly recommend going as a couple or as a family. If you want to disconnect and go alone, I highly recommend it.

My partner and I stayed this past weekend in the "Les Sirenes" room. The room is very well-equipped with everything you need to cook and be comfortable. Amparo's service was excellent; we had a problem unrelated to the accommodation, and they helped us every step of the way, changing our room without any fuss and being incredibly empathetic. In the other room, Pepa, a very nice woman, looked after us and even offered us firewood to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Santi also contacted us to check on the situation. It's a lovely place with excellent service. Thank you for everything.

The place is wonderful. We stayed at Casa Lluna, a spacious and welcoming apartment that has everything you could need. We thought it was unbeatable. The jacuzzi in the room is perfect. Since it was January, we were worried about being cold, but it was very comfortable because, in addition to the fireplace, there was adjustable heating. An unbeatable stay.

Extraordinary place

We chose Pau's Corner with the Sanaa voucher from the Generalitat and we couldn't be happier, we highly recommend it! Everything is thought out down to the last detail and the service is friendly and top-notch.

I'm giving it 3 stars because, although the house has some positive aspects, the value for money didn't quite convince me. I paid €90 per night, and for staying a few extra hours on the day of departure (until 5:00-6:00 pm), they charged me a supplement of €35, bringing the total to €125. For that price, I missed basic amenities like hand soap in the bathroom, which wasn't there. And at times it felt more like a hotel because the cleaning staff started at 8:00 am. It's also on the first floor and not a detached rural house; it's shared with a shared apartment on the stairs. The old window faces the main road and doesn't block out the noise very well. There are speed bumps, and it was noisy when trucks passed, and then there were the motorcycles making noise. There's no parking, and you can't park on the street itself, but since it's a village, there are usually spaces on the surrounding streets. On the positive side, the house is well-equipped in terms of climate control: the heating and air conditioning work perfectly, and the stay was pleasant in that respect. It's a decent place, but for the total cost of €125, I expected more attentive service, such as having to arrive before 9:00 PM because otherwise they don't attend to you, unlike in many other places. Also, they don't have the key in a padlock, which is a very useful feature.

We stayed in the Lluna room, and the experience was bittersweet. The room is very nice, the jacuzzi is very large, and it has excellent heating. They even set up the fire for you so you just have to light it. The problem was that the toilet wasn't working and made a terrible noise that made it impossible to sleep. We told the owner, but since it was already 9 pm, the solution he offered was to shut off the main water supply to the house. When we needed water, we had to go back down to the street and turn on the tap, which wasn't very pleasant in the cold weather. The extractor fan also didn't work, and when we cooked, the whole place filled with smoke. Another thing I didn't like was that part of the reservation had to be paid in cash. The price for one night is quite expensive, and it wasn't the experience we had hoped for. The owner apologized and said that everything would be fixed the day we left. In short, we paid for a service that didn't live up to its promises, and that's where we draw the line. Even though they told us they'd give us a discount next time, I doubt we'll be back.
