It should be called mosquito home, too much mosquito and staff doesn't care, if you wanna be sick because of mosquito it's highly recommend, old torn and smelly sitting places, AC very old and not working if you request and AC is turned on it will make noise, staff is just fancy dancy type but don't know the needs of a clean residence. It's superb to in mosquito home with paying higher compared to other good places nearby

This was truly a top-notch place! It is incredibly easy to find, as it is located right next to the Blue Mosque. When I arrived, I immediately received an upgrade: from an 8-person room to a 6-person room with a view of the Bosphorus from my bed. The beds were comfortable and clean. There was also a clean shower and toilet in every room. The highlight, however, was definitely the delicious Turkish breakfast (vegetarian) that you could eat on the rooftop terrace in the sun, overlooking the sea!

Honestly, I don't understand the very positive ratings on Hostelworld. The hostel is very well located, the person who checked me in was very friendly and let me pay the next day (you can only pay in cash here, which I found bizarre for accommodation). Otherwise, the rooms aren't comfortable, there's little space, the bathroom is dirty, and the facilities are old. There was breakfast on the first day, which was okay, but there wasn't any on the second, I didn't understand that. Honestly, there must be better hostels in Istanbul.

Thanks guys for all your advice and sharing great tips, even outside of Istanbul. Keep smiling and keep your good humor! Excellent breakfast, especially the French toast and the view of the Bosphorus 👌 just steps from monuments and museums!

I originally booked one night at Cheers Vantage and ended up staying 12 — that says it all. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with great airflow, heating, and a consistently hot shower with strong water pressure. The location is perfect: peaceful, with beautiful sea views, yet within walking distance to many historical spots. The rooftop was my favorite — enjoying breakfast in the sunshine with a sea view felt so special. The breakfast is delicious (loved the French toast and Turkish tea), and everything is fresh, especially the juicy tomatoes. The staff are kind, friendly, and very helpful. There’s a lovely, open energy here — both from the team and the guests. Plus, there’s a very cute dog 🙂 I’m also grateful I had the chance to share yoga here — thank you to the manager for the space. Overall, such a beautiful and positive place. Highly recommended.
