Popped into this historic boozer with a colleague. If you’re looking for a Cheers pub where every bodies knows your name this is it! Food awesome all cooked by the landlady Jackie (Irish but I’ll forgive as she’s a fell Celt)! Ask about the history of the canal into the Thames if you stop in! (Fish n Chips is my recommendation).

'The Bells' is arguably the best pub in Brentford! Friendly staff, terrific pub food at sensible prices and a real community atmosphere. If the weather is good there's a nice garden outside and a real fire indoors when the weather turns nippy... Jacqui runs it quietly but efficiently, and won't tolerate any nonsense. It serves home-cooked pub food (the fish and chips is second to none) including traditional pie, mash and liquor. Check out the specials board too - and if you see Jacqui's seafood chowder on the menu don't even think about ordering anything else as this is a true experience not to be missed!

Delicious food, great atmosphere and really friendly staff! Came in near closing for food after a 5 hour travel nightmare and for the best fish and chips and pint of Guinness. Lady behind the bar is lovely and big thanks to the chef too! Always in Brentford for work but never been in - will come in every time I’m here now! Legends

Such a lovely pub. Great staff including the Landlords, made to feel so welcome . I took my Great grandson to the Xmas grotto. He is autistic and non verbal, how kind they were and went all out to make him feel special. I’ll never forget that. Such a community spirited pub. I love it .

Don't be put off by the jaded exterior because as soon as you open the door you will have found an absolute gem of a pub The interior is as welcoming as the landlady, Jackie, and her staff and there is a treasure trove of all sorts of tin containers and also albums on the walls My friend and I had a pint of London Pride which was as clear as a bell and served at the correct temperature, in fact it was so good we stayed for a few more. We had a chat with Jackie and her business manager and they told us about how they promote live music, are making this a community pub, including feeding the needy on one day of the week and pride themselves on the drinks and the food Lastly, the beer garden was a smashing area and the gents toilet was clean and well looked after . My friend and I can't wait to go back

Can't believe what we just experienced, walked in the door and two unleaded dogs just came aggressively and went for our dog on lead. I would not recommend this place if you have a friend dog we had too leave straight away, We have lived in brentford for 8yrs and never experienced this ever in any other place or pub. Can now understand why the premises was empty. And no apology!!!

First time I have been to this pub but it felt like I had been there many times fantastic atmosphere felt completely at home with friendly people and even though pub was very busy I never waited more than a minute to be served at the bar. Proper pub
