Cardiff Pride 2026
About This Event
Cardiff Pride 2026, also known as Pride Cymru, is Wales's biggest annual LGBTQ+ party. It's one of the UK's largest Pride events, too.
The main event is a free parade through central Cardiff. Tens of thousands show up. After that, a ticketed outdoor festival takes over Bute Park. Expect headline acts and community stages there. Organizers predict 50,000 people will come through for the whole thing.
The week-long schedule also includes club nights in the Charles Street village, film screenings, art shows, and events for families. Cardiff Pride isn't just a party; it's a nod to Welsh LGBTQ+ identity and the country's progressive laws. Same-sex marriage has been legal here since 2014.

Practical Tips
Arrive at Westgate Street by 10am if you want to walk in the parade — group check-in closes before the 11am step-off.
Coopers Field runs a quiet hour on Sunday from 11am to 12:30pm, a good window for anyone who finds Saturday's crowds overwhelming.
Bags are searched at the gate — bring a sealed 500ml water bottle, skip the aerosol sunscreen, and travel light.
