Lovely stay here. Great evening meal with real vegetables.
Terrible owner. Very aggressive and rude. Avoid.
Future guests should be made aware of the male owner, Mr Philip Earland’s, capacity for aggressive and rude behaviour. I am a solo female traveller and arrived at the hotel fifteen minutes past check in time. I had travelled overseas to reach the hotel the same day and had given notice that my arrival may be delayed on account of my late flight - a factor out of my control. Despite my circumstances and the fair notice I had given, Mr Earland was extremely rude to me and threatened not to allow me access to the room I had booked and paid for when I arrived. Mr Earland’s aggression and attitude caused me to fear for my personal safety such that I would have preferred to stay elsewhere. Let this review be a warning to any female solo travellers looking to book this accommodation. You are advised not to.
Very Nice hôtel with very friendly owners and a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended to visit the south downs or Brighton. The hôtel is next to a relative busy road but it didn’t bother us at all.
This has become a regular place for me when in Hailsham. Lovely hosts, brilliant food, be it evening meal or breakfast, home made granola, marmalade & jams & fabulous cooked breakfast also. Accommodation is always clean, comfy & cosy with tea / coffee making facilities & those cheeky tasty biscuits. Everything you need, whether away on business or visiting local attractions with family . Phillip & Nicky go the extra mile to make sure your stay is peaceful & enjoyable.
The location on a busy road compromises the quietness of the room and prevents you from keeping the window open; I wouldn't recommend it during the hot summer months. The bathroom is private, but outside the room. Good breakfast. Convenient parking. Very friendly staff.
