The Olde Forge Hotel

Perfect little gem providing quality and relaxation. Breakfast was exceptional, including home made preserves. The little touches for comfort in the rooms made you feel very at home. Can heartily recommend

My family and I were left in the lurch by another hotel nearby, cancelling our entire booking as we arrived at 4pm. We decided to drive to The Old Forge as it was close by, and see if they had any rooms free. Luckily Philip opened the door to us, and took pity and gave us two rooms, even though they were planning to be closed that evening. Philip & Nicky were very friendly and helpful, and we feel lucky to have come across them. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cosy and quiet. In the morning, we had breakfast there, and the food was delicious. There was a cold spread (yoghurt/home made granola my personal favourites), and a cooked option also, all included in the price of the rooms. They were very generous and hospitable, and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful building and great location. The breakfast was delicious and the couple who run the hotel are so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Good, comfortable accommodation. Helped us out by letting us check in early so we could get to a family event. Very friendly, helpful owners and a terrific breakfast.

Stayed here for a couple of days for a nearby wedding and had a lovely time (away from the kids!). A real homely feeling and the owners, Philip and Nicky, were so accommodating. We had dinner at the Olde Forge one night and I was amazed by the quality of the meal and hospitality. Would totally recommend this place for anyone who needs to stay in the area.

Very pleasant hotel. Came down for a family wedding nearby, took three rooms. All very clean and comfortable, the owners very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was very good, and we would stay again.
