Matt security was absolutely amazing very fair and welcoming and caring doing his job amazingly!

The bouncers are awful. They think they own the place and kick people out unfairly. It’s happened to me twice for just sitting and kid you not HOLDING alcohol while ordering another drink.

Really disappointing experience at The Scene Lincoln. I was in the venue for barely a minute before going to the toilet after queuing, and was then removed by security who claimed I had been sick — which is completely untrue. There was no evidence of this, yet I was still made to leave. When I tried to speak to the security manager, the conversation initially seemed reasonable, but the situation quickly escalated and I was then accused of being homophobic, which is a serious and completely unfounded accusation. I fully support LGBTQ+ venues and what they stand for, which is why this experience was so frustrating. Being wrongly removed and then labelled like that is not acceptable. Overall, this felt like a situation that was handled very poorly.

Absolutely awful experience at The Scene. My friend literally got kicked out just for going to the toilet, which is honestly ridiculous. No warning, no proper explanation—just straight out the door like they did something seriously wrong. The bouncers clearly have no idea how to handle situations properly. Instead of using common sense, they just jump straight to kicking people out for no reason. It completely ruined the night and made the whole place feel unwelcoming. On top of that, the whole place didn’t feel LGBTQ+ friendly at all, which just made the experience even worse. Would not recommend at all. Plenty of better places in Lincoln where you won’t get treated like that.

First time in a gay bar and I have to say the night was electric! Had the best time, made incredible friends and can't wait to go again!

Always a pleasure

I have been a regular since I moved to Lincoln in 2023. I have to say I have never felt safer and so looked after in another club other than Scene. Security, lovely to talk to and they are always looking out for everyone and are quick to respond to incidents and concerns. The bar staff are so good, always getting drinks right and they are so speedy at surface. I love all the drag queens, every single one is friendly and approachable. I have never felt out of place at Scene, I always feel included and seen. I will be going scene (especially Mondays) until I leave Lincoln which wont be for a good couple years.

Not a gay bar!

Decided to go at the last minute and was pleasantly surprised by the prices 💰, security 🔒, accessibility ♿ and atmosphere 🎉. I was with a wheelchair user and access wasn't an issue at all 👍.

Best pub ever. Seating is not a problem, everyone wanted to push my stool in. Went to the bar and asked for a stiff one. I definitely got one
