About this place London Friend

London Friend grew out of the Gay Liberation Front in 1971 and is generally described as the oldest LGBTQ+ charity in the UK. It began as a telephone and peer-support service for people coming out or in distress and still works on that model: counselling, support groups and social groups for gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans people, free to use. Its drug and alcohol service, Antidote, is one of the few in the UK built specifically for LGBTQ+ people. The charity is based in a townhouse at 86 Caledonian Road, a few minutes north of King's Cross station. It is a working service, not a visitor attraction, so check the website for group times or to book support rather than dropping in.

Hello, I'm a gay man, I'm currently in England, I'm a victim of modern slavery and human trafficking, I'm lucky to escape and be helped by good people, now I'm very sad and sometimes I want to die, I really need you right now, I'm psychologically unstable, please help me, thank you very much

Absolutely useless service. Had one counselling session and had to cancel as it was just a waste of time and money. They won't help me. I would be better off talking to a dog and that would probably made me feel better than talking to them.
