Decent hotel, but it is an older building. Ideally you want to go for the top floor where you don't have people walking over your head as it's really quite something. They gave me a room on the second floor which happened to be between their store room and the maid closet which produced a good volume of noise throughout the day - would I stay there again, yes, but I would be far more selective in my room location. 12 days of pretty unpleasant all said and done
If I could give this hotel a 0 I would. Location is good. I had to move rooms 3 times as the first room had dried food down the door and kitchen, next room had a stain on the bed, and the other one the receptionist said she checked also "wasn't up to standard" It was all quite filthy and to be honest the final room i checked in cosmetically was fine (although still had small stains on the sheets). But as I pulled the toilet roll off the toilet roll holder, it just fell off the wall. It is also quite a tired building and not wheelchair accessible with there being stairs in the hallway. I am not someone to ever move hotel rooms or complain but this was particularly bad. The receptionist also then started telling me off for phoning back after she hung up on me when I needed to change room the second time. It was actually quite strange to be honest. Had to wait 20 mins to check out as the receptionist was on the phone out the back too. Its cheap and if you dont mind a dirty hotel room the location is fine i guess but I personally will never recommend or stay at this hotel brand again.
Stayed in the sovereign suite, just stunning. The lovely lady on reception was really efficient, sorting our room and making sure we were happy,,,,, everything you need is handy, quite an upmarket place, great fooderies close, nice bars and a beautiful place to stay while you enjoy Manchester.
Not worth the money, no breakfast just a coffee machine and croissants, room was small and felt cramped
Stayed here recently and really enjoyed it. The apartment has a bedroom and an open-plan living/dining area with a kitchen. The natural light is excellent, although the windows cannot be opened. Breakfast includes croissants and coffee, and the croissants were surprisingly good. The location is extremely convenient — walk downstairs through the beautiful garden bar and out the back entrance, and you’re close to the National Football Museum and the cathedral. From the front entrance, Selfridges, M&S, and the Arndale Centre are just steps away. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Overall, a very convenient and pleasant stay.
Great location, with everything within walking distance, plus convenient located for access to public transport. Very clean and comfortable. The room was very spacious, and had a full kitchen. The shower had very low pressure. My only criticism was the lack of information upon checking in. She was very friendly, however she did just hand me my key; some more information such as where to find my room. As well as basic information such as where I would find the gym, laundry etc would have been helpful
