via Stay22About this place Jolly Farmers
The Jolly Farmers has been an Oxford fixture since 1981, making it one of the UK's longest-running gay pubs.
You'll find it on Paradise Street, a straightforward pub that’s been a reliable spot for Oxford's queer community and anyone else looking for a drink. The place isn't trying to reinvent the wheel, just be a consistent spot to grab a pint and chat.
Oxford's gay venues swing from quiet daytime to livelier nights, and The Jolly Farmers has stayed relevant for over four decades by just doing its thing. It's a proper pub, which means a friendly vibe without much fuss.
A place doesn't stick around that long without doing something right. It’s clearly a trusted part of the local scene. Check their website, jollyfarmersoxford.co.uk, for hours or what’s on.

The service was abysmal. Haven't had a barkeeper that rude for 8 years. That tells you something.
Great atmosphere at every hour of the day and plenty of space to sit and chat!
Good selection of drinks and a really nice atmosphere. Inside is very homey and the back garden is delightful.
