Premier Inn Sunderland City Centre hotel
Visitors frequently praise the hotel's excellent location and the outstanding, friendly service from staff like Karen, with one guest even receiving a thoughtful gesture when unwell. However, a common complaint is the significant issue with parking, where guests have paid for spaces but found them unavailable, and some rooms are noted as needing a refresh with tired beds.

Fab location for the Empire Theatre. Air con worked well. Cheap price, clean spacious rooms and friendly staff. Car park is a bit steep at £17 for 24 hrs but its a prime spot. Breakfast was great, good choice of cooked and continental for £11. Shower gel and soap in bathrooms and free wifi. Oh and we had a lovely soft sofa
I'm a big fan of premier Inn because you know what you are going to get. I'm very lucky as my wife booked here for a Friday night treat (if you know what I mean). Left the kids at home and could switch off from work a for a night. As expected, a little beverage station, tea and coffee...nice bed and extra pillows. It wasn't looking bad at all. Other places have had kids running up and down the corridors and playing drums well into the night, not here. We didn't stay for the amazing breakfast as the wife took me on a breakfast bender in Sunderland. The car was safe in the car park...as well it should for £17. The plus is that the car was there for most of the Saturday as we were galavanting around Sunders. No stress, and we didn't even see a member of staff, used the machine to check in and dropped off the key card in the box when leaving. Altogether, a very decent experience.
Went to the theatre so booked premier inn for the Tuesday night . Had great meal on the night brilliant and very helpful staff. Food was delicious. Got up next morning after an excellent sleep, went for breakfast which was also delicious before checking out. Room was spotless. Only gripe was 17 pounds 50 for car park but hey city centre.
It was right next to the theatre and near shops, room was warm and bed was incredible, really an amazing Valentine's day
Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Very near to the Bridges shopping centre and train station/metro. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff lovely, and friendly. Great food and breakfast. Meal deal is very good. Only 15 mins walk to Stadium of Light.
Not a good as other Premier Inns we've stayed in. Stayed for a concert at Stadium of Light and website said parking limited... However although we got there early there weren't any parking spaces free. For over 500 rooms I expected a few more parking spaces.. There were about 20! Comfy bed but room smelled of cigarette smoke and curtains had holes in them. One lift was out of order so a queue for the lift. Wouldn't stay here again sadly.
