Madrid has one of Europe's most dense and varied gay nightlife scenes, centred on the Chueca district. The bars don't get going until 11pm, the clubs peak at 3am, and the scene runs until well past dawn on weekends.
Chueca — The Gay District
Chueca is the heart of Madrid's LGBTQ+ scene — rainbow crosswalks, bars on every street, and a daytime café culture that transitions seamlessly into a nightlife circuit. The streets around Calle de Hortaleza, Calle Infantas, Calle Pelayo, and Plaza de Chueca are where most venues concentrate. Everything is walkable.
