B&B Baron's House Neerijse

We stayed at this B&B for a second time. This time because of the beautiful surroundings. From the B&B, there is a lovely walking path to the small river Dijle. A compliment on the service. We had a special request for our room and it was really taken care of immediately. We had a great stay.

After reading the promising reviews, we decided to book a weekend at Baron's House B&B. The arrival was very impersonal. Check-in is between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. We arrived around 5 p.m., and there was only a slip of paper with our key. Not exactly what you expect from a B&B. So we had to figure everything out for ourselves. While we appreciate that, it's not why you come to a B&B. Then we explored the room and found it left a lot to be desired. Room 6 in the annex. It wasn't clean at all: toothpaste all over the mirror, glass windows with marks, and sand on the floor. The room was also very small, and the walls were very thin. We heard the baby next door wake up several times a night, and we were also up very early in the morning. It was nice that there was a terrace, but at least make sure the leaves are gone. The grounds, on the other hand, are very beautiful. It's a real shame you can't access the entire property. It's also a shame it's poorly maintained; it's a bit neglected. Weeds were growing in the breakfast room, and we saw the wooden doors in the room crumbling. It's practically lifeless and desperately needs a makeover. We hoped to experience hospitality at breakfast, but that wasn't the case. They were friendly, but nothing more. I had to ask for an egg myself. And the selection was very limited. Not what you expect, especially for the price. No local products either; very basic. The location is great, between Brussels and Leuven and surrounded by nature. You don't hear a soul! I rarely write reviews, but I was so surprised I didn't see any of these negative comments that I'd appreciate knowing before booking.

A quiet little place, rural and a little remote but perfect for a stop over. A very short commute to Leuven or Brussels. Private parking and nice and clean accommodation. Local amenities close by, a micro brewery with fabulous food and a decent little cafe with good beer a few hundred yards away. Would stay again.

This is a very nice location, provided you have a vehicle. We did, so it was one of our nicer, perhaps nicest, stays on a 28 day European vacation. The room was nice, the staff polite and courteous, the surroundings peaceful and relaxing, and the breakfast enjoyable. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This place is really amazing and if I could I would give a 4.5 out of 5. The location is beautiful, staff is friendly and the breakfast offers a well selected variety of food. The only aspect I consider as not satisfactory is the very stuffy air at night. One cannot open the windows properly due to the attached blinds. I had trouble sleeping because of the hot and stuffy air in the room. Otherwise it’s absolutely a lovely place to stay especially the location.

Perfect getaway in the countryside, great surroundings for running and enjoying nature. Leuven and Brussels are just around the corner, friendly hosts, and a delicious breakfast :)
