We stayed in the Garden Suite and loved every detail of our stay. From the hot tub, sauna, bath, and log fire to the private garden, two TVs, and stunning views, everything was perfect. The shower room felt like a mini spa, so we didn’t need to book anything else. The complimentary minibar (refilled on request) was a lovely touch, and the staff were very helpful. Fantastic service throughout. Highly recommend.

To be honest, this hotel was a complete disappointment for me. Before coming, I carefully checked many reviews online and chose this place based on them. However, once I arrived, I realized that most of those reviews do not reflect the reality. Do not be fooled by the photos and positive comments. The actual situation is not as described. My experience was far below expectations, and I definitely do not recommend this place. In short, this was a completely wrong choice for me. I do not think it is right for people to be misled like this.

Would never book again or recommend to friends. Booked for our honeymoon the love nest suit for two nights. Once we arrived checked in and looked around the room we weren't impressed at all the carpet was very very dirty and dust behind the bedside cabinets behind the fridge and In general the curtains were very old. Very disappointed as the pictures did not look like the reality at all. I ended up coughing all night due to the dust. We didn't say anything as we didn't want to spoil our time in the lake district. The following morning while we are still in bed a male opens the front locked gate and comes into our room this is shocking In itself. When we spoke to the manager she wasn't apologetic at all and instead said we are human and we all make mistakes. She didn't allow for any further conversation therfore we decided to leave and asked for a refund for the second night as we didn't want to stay thier anylonger. This was the best desicion we had made.

Stayed here recently and while the room itself was beautifully presented, the overall experience was disappointing. On arrival, the hot tub was not up to temperature and was not usable until the following morning, despite check-in being at 3pm. There was also ongoing construction noise for several hours after we arrived, which significantly impacted our ability to relax. The sauna door did not close properly and there was a protruding nail on the bench, which caused a minor injury. This is something that should have been identified and addressed during routine maintenance checks. We also experienced difficulty contacting reception. Calls from our mobile did not go through due to lack of signal, and there were no clear instructions provided for using the in-room phone, despite attempts to do so. We did not check out at reception, as we were advised by housekeeping that we could leave the key with them, so we were not asked about our stay at the time. What was most disappointing, however, was how the complaint was handled afterwards. Rather than acknowledging the issues raised, the response focused on internal processes and suggested responsibility lay with us for not reporting them during the stay. The only resolution offered was a 25% discount on a future stay, which does not reflect the experience we had, particularly as we would not feel comfortable returning. For a hotel of this standard and price point, both the facilities and the handling of guest concerns should be of a much higher standard. Having since read similar feedback from other guests, it appears this may not be an isolated experience, which is concerning.

We recently stayed with Aphrodites Group and had a fantastic experience. Our suite was truly luxurious, spacious, and cozy, providing the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. While our apartment was located in a separate building, it was only a very short walk away and didn't bother us at all. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is also unbeatable—just a short stroll to the lake and local restaurants. We did have a small issue with the internet not working during our stay. Although it couldn't be fixed immediately, the management was incredibly professional and offered us a discount on our next stay as a gesture of goodwill. My only small suggestion for improvement: for a place this high-end, using real rose petals instead of plastic ones would go a long way in maintaining that premium, luxury feel. Overall, a great stay!

Very nice rooms big and spacious, located away from town center but 15min walk no problem

I would never stay here again. My boyfriend booked this hotel as a surprise Christmas present and we stayed for two nights in January. Let me start by saying the location is great; however, there are plenty of other hotels in the area, and I would strongly recommend choosing one of those instead. Upon arrival we were presented with a list of potential charges, some costing up to £350, including being charged for being “too loud.” This had never been mentioned when the hotel was booked. Being handed this list immediately made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. If a hotel has a long list of charges for guests, this should be made clear at the time of booking, not when you arrive. Unfortunately, this completely changed the atmosphere of our stay. We were constantly conscious of the rules we had signed and the high charges attached to them. The layout of the rooms also meant the corridor was extremely close to the bed and television, which made us nervous to even have normal conversations in the evening in case we were accused of being noisy. You could clearly hear conversations and televisions from other rooms while walking down the corridor, so the walls were obviously very thin. My boyfriend paid for the package that included rose petals etc on the bed. The petals used were real and can stain the bedding. We informed staff before we checked out and were not charged, but I have since seen reviews from other guests who said they were charged for stained sheets after booking this package, so it is something to be aware of. The room itself looked modern and the bedding appeared clean aside from this. However, the hot tub which is one of the main selling points of the hotel was not maintained properly. It was noticeably overfilled, to the point any slight movement caused water to spill and completely flood the bathroom. Another issue we were concerned we would end up being charged for. After returning home, I developed painful spots all over my body. I also experienced body aches, headaches and felt feverish. I work at a GP surgery, so I asked one of the doctors I work with to take a look. I was immediately advised that the symptoms were consistent with hot tub folliculitis, a skin infection commonly caused by poorly maintained hot tubs. I was advised to attend my own GP surgery, which I did, and the second doctor agreed with this assessment and prescribed medication to treat the infection. I contacted the hotel to make them aware of the situation, primarily so they could check the hot tub and prevent this happening to other guests. However, I was immediately met with a very dismissive response from management. Despite providing evidence that I had consulted medical professionals, at no point did the hotel take any accountability. I was even told by management that it could potentially be an allergy to the chemicals, despite two doctors confirming that the symptoms were consistent with hot tub folliculitis. It was extremely frustrating to have a hotel manager attempt to dismiss a medical issue that had already been assessed by medical professionals. In the very first email I received from the hotel, they offered to send their hot tub cleaning and maintenance records. They offered this voluntarily. However, when I later requested to see these records, they refused to provide them. I have been left with permanent marks on my skin where the infection occurred, and the entire situation has been extremely unpleasant to deal with. Overall, while the location is good, the hotel is not worth the price and the attitude from management when a serious concern was raised was extremely disappointing. I would not stay here again. I did not originally intend to leave a negative review, but after the way this situation was handled and the lack of transparency from management, I feel it is important that future guests are aware of my experience.

The best trip for my birthday weekend away with my boyfriend we stayed in the pent house suite with the bath in the room and a stand up shower , hot tub and sauna outside in your private garden even in the rain it’s beautiful ❤️😍We both can’t wait to come back and our planning our next stay again ! Great location , food delivery it was amazing from start to finish ❤️

Don’t know where to start. From when we walked into the reception the lady who was on the desk was very welcoming and friendly. Gave us afew recommendations which we love! Reassured us about anything we might have a problem with, they’re just on the other end of the line if needed. From walking in the room was great, luxurious and inviting. The room was set up lovely and very comfortable bed & couch. Jacuzzi in the garden bit, under shelter, then with lights above at night time. Very private. The TV had access to most of things you’d eat to watch (TV, Netflix, Disney+). Had a lovely little fire place centre piece on the wall which was lovely to look at, had a mini fridge with bottles of water. Bathroom was large with a powerful shower (I like) a jacuzzi bath with a Tv. Which was great before getting into bed, lovely and relaxing! We absolutely loved it here celebrating our 10 year anniversary, were looking at booking again but maybe trying a different room 🥰 Only one TINY down side is we would of loved to use the jacuzzi before we left as check out time was 10:30 and we wouldn’t have time to use and enjoy it before we left as it was useable from 9:30 (self cleaning 10:30pm-9:30am) But we will definitely be back! And will definitely recommend ♥️ Thank you for making our time away so special and relaxing.
