Su questo posto Kelowna Pride

Kelowna Pride Society is the nonprofit that organises the city's annual Pride week, usually in late May and early June, ending with a march and festival downtown. It also runs year-round LGBTQ+ community programming in the Central Okanagan, including youth and trans peer-support initiatives. Kelowna's first Pride march was in 1996. This is an organizer, not a venue with regular opening hours. Current event dates and program details are on the website. With few queer venues in the Okanagan, it is the main contact for finding community events.

People have to be respected by people, not yelled at and being threatened.

It’s my 2nd time visiting the Pirates of the Okanagan event, I love the vibe and music. And I think the price is good for 3 hrs ride with a live dj. First time the captain let us took some video from capitán navigation bridge which was unforgettable. We had a nice conversation with a girl stuff from Kelowna Cruise. Also, I think there were nice snacks as well. Second time also was also amazing - nice music, good vibe, however, in the end of the evening one man without uniform who works for the event or Kelowna Cruises (the company didn’t tell me) has aggressively yelled at me. I was sitting on a recessed step outside with my legs over the edge while holding onto a safety bar. I was calm, not intoxicated and simply talking. A man near the captain’s booth, who was not wearing a Kelowna Cruises uniform or identifying himself, suddenly started shouting commands such as “Get down now!” and “Now!” Instead of calmly explaining the safety rule, he continued yelling when I misunderstood his instructions and even counted down “5, 4, 3, 2, 1,” warning that the boat would turn around and the event would end for everyone if I didn’t comply. I immediately froze. English is not my first language, and being shouted at made it much harder to understand what he wanted. A calm explanation would have resolved the situation instantly. I fully respect safety rules and would have followed them immediately if I had been spoken to respectfully. My concern is not that I was corrected, but the aggressive and intimidating way it was done. Earlier that evening, I also heard the same man speaking rudely to other guests, complaining loudly that it was “ridiculous” for people to occupy the washroom for 20 minutes. I contacted the captain afterwards to report what happened. I explained that I fully respect safety rules and that my concern was the aggressive way I was treated, not the reminder itself. I also told him that I have video recorded during the cruise showing that I was calm and not intoxicated. However, instead of addressing my concern, the response focused on defending the crew member’s actions, and the matter was closed without any meaningful investigation. The captain said the the stuff “haven’t painted a good picture of me, that I was rude to the bartender and intoxicated” when I didn’t have interaction with bartenders because I didn’t order anything on the boat, additionally, I have video proof that I wasn’t intoxicated. After this the captain suggested that the crew member may have simply been speaking firmly because the music was loud. However, I know the difference between someone raising their voice to be heard and someone aggressively shouting commands like “Get down! Now!”, counting down from five, and threatening to end the event for everyone. Those are two very different things. I am disappointed that the company chose not to properly investigate an incident in which multiple guests witnessed a crew member shouting at customer. Guests deserve to be treated with respect. Enforcing safety rules should never require intimidation or aggressive behaviour.

I had the most amazing experience on the dinner cruise! Lovely food, staff were so helpful and pleasant both in ticket office and on board. Incredible food and drink. Nick played guitar and sang some great songs. Recommend this and any other cruises they run. Owned and operated by Luke (from Shepparton) a fellow Aussie!!!

It is a great cruise especially if you choose to order the meal of either chicken, steak, salmon or vegetarian. All the food is cooked on board and is delicious. The cruise is 2 hours and the views are beautiful. There is a bar on board where you can buy the drink of your choice. Would definitely recommend this cruise and it’s our second time👍 Dan and Brenda Calgary

We had a great time. There were not too many people on board, so it wasnt a crowded cram as many people as you can kind of tour. Drinks were reasonably priced, food was great we had the steak. The music I thought was fantastic, songs you knew and wasnt so loud that you couldn't hold a conversation. Boat didnt go to far, but you got to see all the expensive homes on the lake.

The trip was very boring, the microphone system wasn’t working. Although Captain Mike came out and gave us some details about the lake, he said he would come back out and tell us about the gorgeous houses on the westbank and what hockey players etc owned them, he never did! Very disappointing

One of the worst things the i have done. We had the chicken dinner, which was served late. It was dry, tasted nothing but SALT. My wife, later that night, got sick. Drinks are way over priced. Also got charged an 18% tip. We had no service at all. What a waste. Save your money. Dont book this tour!
