Café Cantante Mi Habana

Went on a Tuesday night with a large group at the end of a full day of activities. Great band. Seemed local and authentic - not a lot of folks there on a Tuesday so without a group it might be less fun and more intimidating if you don’t speak great Spanish. This is def more of a local spot. But I felt of all the places we went in evening this was the most “bare bones” yet the most authentic to local vibe.

Terrible. We arrived before they opened; they were supposed to open at 11:00. Around 11:15 pm, the doorman came out, looking grumpy, and said that only those with reservations would be allowed in, and everyone else should move aside. After that, we waited another half hour and decided to leave. They should keep in mind that there are tourists, and both we and the locals deserve better service. I would never go back, nor would I recommend it.

Great music, and great shows too.

It's a nice place, especially for hanging out with friends. It's just too expensive for what it offers.

Easy to find, it's a nightclub like any other in the world. The Saturday night queue, which you can avoid by paying an extra 5 CUCs to the bouncer who'll greet you practically in the parking lot, remains a good example of local life in Havana. Inside, there's a good atmosphere, enjoyable drag shows, and a gay vibe on Saturday nights. Entry is 10 CUCs, but it can vary...

It has a good atmosphere and a varied program.
