⭐☆☆☆☆ A Disappointing and Disgusting Experience My stay at the Telégrafo Axel Hotel La Habana was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The hotel advertises itself as a modern, high-quality property in the heart of Havana, but the reality was completely different. The cleanliness was poor from day one. The room was unhygienic, smelled bad, and was very poorly maintained. The common areas were also in unacceptable condition for a hotel that claims to offer a high-end experience. What bothered me most was the constant feeling of neglect and lack of attention from management. Customer service left much to be desired. When problems were reported, the response was slow and ineffective. As a guest, one expects at least a clean, comfortable, and safe environment, but unfortunately, this hotel failed to meet those basic expectations. I would not recommend this hotel to family, friends, or any traveler who values cleanliness, comfort, and adequate service. There are better options in Havana to spend your money.

★☆☆☆☆ Absolutely unacceptable experience. Our reservation was fully paid and confirmed, yet upon arrival the staff could not find it in their system. We spent nearly 1.5 hours waiting in the lobby while they searched for the booking, and we were only able to check in after 5:00 PM. As if that wasn't bad enough, at check-out they tried to charge us for two cups of coffee from the room. After making guests wait for over an hour due to their own administrative problems, arguing over two coffees is simply ridiculous. What made the situation even worse was the way the coffee charge was calculated. They used an exchange rate of approximately 570 Cuban pesos per US dollar, while the same hotel was using an exchange rate of around 370 pesos per dollar for other transactions. This inconsistency felt unfair and gave the impression that guests were being overcharged. This hotel is poorly organized and shows very little respect for its guests' time. A confirmed and prepaid reservation should not turn into a stressful ordeal. Between the delayed check-in, the confusion over a paid reservation, and the questionable charges at check-out, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I will never stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our flight to Havana landed in Cuba around 9 am, so we checked into the hotel early. We explained that we had just arrived after a 13-hour flight and wanted to check into our room early. The hotel staff said we could check in early for an extra fee, otherwise we would have to wait. Despite sending three emails explaining this situation and stating we would arrive early and needed to check in, I received no response, and we've been outside for five hours. While we chose this hotel because it's gay-friendly, I regret it. Our friend who booked a room at a nearby hotel is sleeping comfortably while we're still outside. Experiencing this is a terrible experience, especially on the first day of our vacation. I regret choosing this place when we could have received more luxurious service for the same price.
