Juniper Springs Resort

Absolutely worst experience ever. They don't have AC(Our mistake we didn't realise it sooner, help desk didn't mention during checkin, slid paper in the checkin packet which we didn't read - agree our mistake). But they also don't have a fan in the unit. It's a small studio size room and they give you a box fan. Its very loud and your Neighbors use that too. Overall its very loud with multiple box fans. We checked-in at 7:30PM and haven't realized this until we slept until 11:30PM. The room was super hot and running the fan for 3 hours didn't cool it a bit. Sofa bed had lot of static. Mattress had 5 layers of sheets. The room was dusty and my kid had stuffed nose with hard blowing box fan and dust in the room. We didn't sleep for even a bit. Worst experience ever. Use a towel on top of the fan and damp it a bit, would lower the sound and can create some moisture in the room. We cut short our trip because of such a bad experience.

Everything about this place is great except there is no air conditioning in any of the rooms. During summer months, that's simply unacceptable. It does not cool down enough at night to make that sacrifice worth it. Find somewhere else to stay if you're coming when it's not snowing.

The staff and resort were wonderful during our stay, including fixing a mistake I made when booking! The only thing I wish was better was that because we went to the pool multiple times, we sometimes didn't have enough dry pool towels and there weren't ever any in the towel cabana by the pool (even in the morning). The hot tubs didn't always work for the bubbles, but at least there were 3 of them, so there were still options. Would love to see an on-site restaurant as it was difficult to get anything in a time crunch due to waiting for trolley schedule, which is why I only gave 4 stars on location. At least there were still stores and restaurants accessible without having a car, as long as you have the time to get there (which we didn't always during our stay).

Visited in August 2026: 2-room, 2-bath, sofa bed, & full kitchen. BEWARE: Just because it has “4.4 stars”, it doesn’t mean it’s perfect. Pay attention to all the low ratings. We agree with every single one of them! CONs: 1) A so-called “refundable” deposit of $50 PER NIGHT (we stayed 3 nights and had to pay $150!!!) is NOT REASONABLE. I can accept a flat fee of $50 or $70, but not a PER NIGHT deposit 👎 And, on top of that, our credit card showed that they CHARGED & TOOK the $150 right away after we checked in instead of holding the money in our account in case of damages to the unit, which is what other resort hotels that we’ve stayed in normally do! And, we were NOT NOTIFIED about this fact during check-in 👎👎👎 And, it takes them 5-7 days to return the money to us!👎👎👎 Does it take your housekeeping crew that long to figure out that we did not damage or steal anything from you⁉️⁉️ 2) Bedrooms: big wood-framed beds & furnitures are way too big for the rooms, resulting in insufficient walking space. Beds/mattresses are way too high, especially for older folks! We bumped into the bed frame corners & BRUISED ourselves several times while walking around to go to the bathroom at night!👎👎👎 3) Bathrooms: very spacious, but the WALLS of shower/bath tub have MOLD in the grout👎 4) Sofa bed: mattress is VERY dated and sagging A LOT! We felt very single spring on it! Definitely NOT acceptable for sleeping two adults (unit is designed to sleep 6!) 👎 5) NO AC!!! Fortunately, our unit faced east. Warm in mornings starting from sunrise but was cool in afternoons. And, 2 box fans in closet. PROs: 1) Kitchen: fully equipped with lots of utensils, dishes, pots/pans; a full sized fridge. Electric stove and dish washer work very well. Very impressive!👍👍 2) Garage: gated & sufficient parking spaces👍 3) Pool is clean & slightly warm. Jacuzzi tub is very clean with good heat & jets👍 OBSERVATION: Management only responds to the high-rating reviews. Poor ratings get ignored, ie, they don’t care about the things we do not like! Wonder why! Is this how you run a “resort” hotel⁉️⁉️

Very big and nice room . Balcony and swimming pool. Not have restaurant!!!

A very pleasant aparthotel for spending a night or a few days with family

I only reduced a star because in the summer the rooms are just too warm. We managed by keeping the windows open. In the winter I imagine this place is perfect!
