No hotel in Punta Arenas markets itself as gay, but the central hotels are used to international travellers, and Chilean law bars them from turning away a same-sex couple. Most are within walking distance of Plaza Muñoz Gamero.

For history, Hotel José Nogueira sits in the 1890s Palacio Sara Braun on the main square. Hotel Cabo de Hornos is right on the square, and Dreams del Estrecho is the big waterfront casino hotel with a spa. Smaller and quieter: La Yegua Loca and Ilaia near Cerro de la Cruz.
