The Satire, Autograph Collection

This hotel is tucked in a neighborhood that is clearly up and coming (which is to say there’s lots of newer apartment buildings, a couple construction sites, and a new Trader Joe’s) but it’s quiet, wonderfully well appointed, and close enough to the Braddock Road metro stop that pretty much everywhere in DC is easily accessible. The bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were great, and the gym was really well equipped. The second floor outdoor area is a pleasure if you have time to just sit and the weather is good, although there’s lovely park just down the street along the Potomac too. We didn’t interact with many hotel employees but the guy at the front desk couldn’t have been more pleasant and the valet was super efficient.

My wife and I needed a conveniently located accommodation for 2 nights in August of 2026, and the Satire Hotel exceeded our expectations so much so that we decided to come back two weeks after our first stay. What makes this place truly special and worth the visit is the staff and the service they provide. First, when checking-in, we met Amarri who was very friendly, down to earth and accommodated all of our needs. At the restaurant of the hotel we had the pleasure of meeting Rachid who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unforgettable! The Satire offers incredible amenities: we particularly loved the cinema room where you can watch tv shows and movies feeling like you’re in your own personal movie theater and, if you’re in need of a workout, the gym has everything you need and more. The hotel also provides access to reformer Pilates classes at a discounted rate. Staying at the Satire is truly an elevated experience: we feel at home and so taken care of!

We stayed at The Satire while celebrating our wedding anniversary, and they helped to make our celebration special. From the moment we arrived, our experience was lovely. When we got to our room, we found complimentary champagne, chocolates and a congratulatory note waiting for us. During our entire stay, all of the staff--the front desk, restaurant servers, housekeepers--were helpful and friendly. Even when we experienced a slight housekeeping issue, the hotel corrected it promptly and gracefully. And being in historic Old Town Alexandria is a plus. Kudos!

I love the backlit front desk - i felt as if I stepped into a different world. the lighting at the front desk is only one example of the luzury experience i had at the satire hotel. the beautiful front desk attendant, the amazing art installations, the furniture, architecture...so many beautiful aspects of this hotel. the room was spacious with well appointed TV, furniture and bed. the bathroom tub was full sized for an adult to stretch out. the large mirrors and lights were exquisite.

The Satire! First let me say, I'm typically a Hilton girlie but the Satire was splendid. Marriott, here we come! From valet service with Luis and the crew, to check In with Mr. Frazier and Irada, it was remarkable. Even guest services staff went above and beyond. We enjoyed everything from the warm breeze on the terrace to the truffle fries at The Wise Fool. I love staying in this area because of my shopping habits, and I must say, when we return, I will book at the Satire again. Walking distance to anything and everything you may need. They genuinely seem like friends now. Can't wait to come back!

This is a comfortable, well managed property in an excellent, quiet location. Easy to walk to Old Town, close to restaurants and grocery stores. Also, the bar is nice, the rooms are modern and comfortable, and the staff is kind and accommodating. I am very glad I stayed here on my recent visit.

I don't often write reviews, but exceptional people deserve to be recognized. From the moment I met Amari she made me feel like more than just a guest. Because I'm sensitive to certain things, I requested a deep cleaning of my room before my stay. Amari didn't simply pass the request along she personally made sure every detail was handled and that the room met my standards. That level of care meant more to me than she probably realizes. Throughout my stay, she checked in with me to make sure everything was perfect, followed up without me having to ask, and even surprised me with sweet chocolates. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made me feel genuinely valued and welcomed. What could have been just another hotel stay became an experience I'll always remember. I didn't just stay at Satire I built a connection with Satire because of Amari. Her professionalism, kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality completely transformed my visit. Satire is fortunate to have someone like Amari representing their brand. She is the kind of manager who turns first-time guests into lifelong customers. Thank you, Amari, for going above and beyond. I travel frequently around the world, and this hotel exceeded many of my expectations. From the attentive staff and beautiful design to the food and overall hospitality, our experience was exceptional. Irada at the front desk helped us settle in for a wonderful week and was very generous in applying our available credits. Marvin also took excellent care of us and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Svetlana at the breakfast restaurant was incredibly kind and attentive. She provided wonderful service and took great care of my entire family. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and the bathrooms are especially impressive. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would gladly return.
