Nurse Dina Ascencio is truly the best! She is incredibly kind, caring, compassionate, and professional. She goes above and beyond to make her patients feel comfortable, respected, and well cared for. Her patience, warm heart, and dedication to her work make such a wonderful difference. She treats her patients with genuine kindness and makes them feel that they are in good hands. I am truly grateful for her excellent care and the positive experience she provides. Nurses like Dina are a true blessing!
Very disappointing experience. My anxiety medication ran out last Thursday, and I contacted the pharmacy on Friday because this was the medication I needed most. I explained that I’m postpartum and that my mental health has been difficult, so it was important for me not to be without it. I was told it would be ready, but when I went to pick it up, it wasn’t. I called again and was told to come back Saturday. On Saturday, I called before going so I wouldn’t have to wait, and only then was I told that they needed my doctor’s approval. This morning, a nurse called me and told me that my medication was ready and that the doctor had approved it. When I arrived, I was told to wait 15 minutes. I went to my appointment, and when I came back about 30 minutes later, it still wasn’t ready. Then I was told my insurance would send the prescription to CVS, but that I could pay out of pocket this time. Since I had already been without my medication for several days, I agreed to pay for it myself, only to find out that it still wasn’t ready. I want to be clear that I am NOT blaming my doctor. The doctor approved the medication once the pharmacy requested the approval. My frustration is with the pharmacy’s lack of communication and follow-up. If they knew they were waiting for the doctor’s approval, they should have told me when I called on Friday or Saturday. Instead, I was told that they may have simply forgotten to let me know. When you are dealing with an important medication, especially during postpartum, the pharmacy should be more attentive and keep the patient informed. I shouldn’t have to make multiple calls and trips just to find out what is happening with my prescription. On top of that, the employee who helped me, who was the only person there who spoke Spanish, had a very rude attitude when I explained my situation. I understand that pharmacies get busy, but communication and customer service are extremely important when people are trying to get their medications. I hope they improve their communication and follow-up because patients don’t always have the time to keep coming back and waiting. I’ve been coming to this clinic for years, since my first pregnancy. My children receive their care here, and so does my husband. I’ve always really liked this clinic and the care we receive here, which is why I want to make it clear that my frustration is not with the doctors or the clinic. My concern is specifically with the pharmacy and how this situation was handled.
The phone is problem and the doctor not staying long
