The Corner Pocket is a small gay bar on St Louis Street in the French Quarter, a few blocks off the Bourbon Street gay strip. It is known for its go-go dancers, who work on top of the bar in the evenings, and for a regulars-plus-tourists crowd that comes for exactly that. Tipping the dancers is expected. It opens at 2pm every day and stays open until midnight, or 2am on Fridays and Saturdays per the listed hours. Drinks are cheap to moderate. Go after dark if you want the dancers; afternoons are a quiet neighbourhood bar.

The woman bartending in this place has the meanest pour in the gay area. Im pretty sure there are straights that waltz in trying to get some. I can ignore them. I came here 3 times during my trip. No regrets. Happy hour from noon to 7......everyday. get chu some. Dancers are scrawny. Not my type as I like meat on the bone, but have your fill
