Milder, mold and must AC does not go higher than 50 degrees If you open the balcony door to try to allow air in the room It gets swampy in a 1/2 hour ! Horrible !

I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before, but this warrants it. Save your money. The website makes this hotel look like it did 20+ years ago. The prices are comparable to other MUCH nicer hotels in the quarter and downtown. Ones with air conditioning, clean rooms and actual amenities-which this hotel has none of. The only good things about this hotel were its decent location and balcony room/view. We have stayed here twice now and after the first time we shouldn’t have given it another chance. The pool is disgusting with green algae and stagnant water. Rooms are dirty with barely working AC, actually dirty-not just old charm (hand prints on walls, doors that haven’t been wiped in years, dust, ceiling peeling off, carpet that is disturbingly damp). Amad the valet driver is amazing as are two other front desk women, they should work elsewhere with their amazing customer service!

All I can say good about this place is the location. Very close to main evening attractions. The upkeep is terrible. The pool was green and they thought it was funny. The elevators are partially broken and even the staff said be careful the elevator will rip your hand off. The rooms were very stale smelling and there was no air conditioning. NO A/C in New Orleans is a big deal. We had four rooms and all four were the same stale hot experience. The showers had mildly warm water. I can not recommend this place

This hotel is very dated but with renovations planned so I recommend looking into their progress before booking. The staff are very gracious and accommodating.

Exspensive for mediocre band you can see for free on frenchman

Tonia was the best!! She made our experience extra special. So accommodating. Housekeeping was the opposite- did not stock room or clean daily. Would recommend this hotel to others. Good location not to close to Bourbon Street but walkable to Riverfront.

This was once a GREAT little gem in the Quarter, but time and lack of caring by ownership have really hurt this place. It’s really in need of a MAJOR facelift. Furnishings, carpets, and especially the bathrooms are in serious need of replacement. Windows are painted shut, furnishings are from the 70’s, and the bathrooms need complete remodels. Also, expect to reset your key cards daily for some reason! This is probably a cash cow for the owners, but it’s a huge disappointment knowing how charming this place once was. 😢

Balcony rooms will let water in when it rains. Musty smell. All around service was sub-par, tried to get coffee machine fixed, never happened. Restaurant in hotel took long time to order and get served.

This hotel is old and dirty. Heat didn’t work, hot water didn’t work and the carpets were filthy. They had to change our room. The towels are thin and hard. The pool water is gray. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although very well located in the old town, the hotel could use a refresh.

We stayed at this hotel for Jazz Fest. I heard that they are planning to do renovations, and I fully support it given our experience with the first room we were in. The whole room was so moist. You could feel it in the air and on the carpets. Our socks were wet from just walking on the floors. The water damage was extremely apparent, especially in the bathroom. There was a big storm one morning, and water began leaking into our room from the window, which also had very bad water damage. You can tell that this has been happening for a while because of the way they removed the under-padding from the carpet in only the area right under the window. What was the most concerning (besides worrying about mold) was that there was no smoke detector in our room. I was surprised the hotel was even allowed to let us stay in that room. Staff did not appear surprised by the complaint, as I heard several other guests also complain about plumbing issues or broken appliances in their rooms. The second room we were put in was in better condition. The restaurant in the hotel has fun live music and dance classes in the evenings, but I would not recommend for breakfast. They are understaffed, and the food is just ok. Also, the elevators are scary. Please redo them. Overall, the staff was very responsive and kind, and the location was great, but the accommodations were really disappointing for how much we had to pay for rooms.
