It's under renovation. The fitness center was closed, but they did offer a near by local gym pass. The ice machine were down, and there wasn't completely breakfast. The ice and breakfast was a let down and add unexpected coats to our budgeted trip. We would have liked that information beforehand. I'd recommend calling and asking specifically about the renovations being completed before booking. The staff was great.

I only wish that I had read the previous reviews when I booked our hotel rooms for two nights. I have been an IHG Diamond Elite member for many years and have stayed in lots and lots of great Holiday Inn hotels, this by far, was the worst hotel I HAVE EVER stayed. I should have known by the rather low price of the rooms, it seemed like a good value at the time but shame on me. the pictures are deceiving, the rooms are very worn out, the carpet is sticky, don’t even think about sleeping on the pull out sofa bed. The hotel hallways reek of pot, I mentioned this to the front desk, apparently they have not solved this since I see that the same issue was mentioned in other reviews. The restaurant was advertised as open, it was not, perhaps a good thing considering everything else, take my advice and spend a little more money, stay somewhere else. One last thing, my advice to the management is don’t even respond to my review, there is nothing you can say that you haven’t already said so many excuses before, perhaps you should just demolish the whole hotel and start over.

⭐ 2/5 — Serious cleanliness problems, reservation issues, and almost no accountability My stay at the Holiday Inn Port St. Lucie was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I booked and paid for a king suite for four nights through Super.com, but Super.com apparently sent the hotel a queen-suite reservation. At check-in, staff said no king suite was available but promised to move me the next morning after the current guest checked out and the room was cleaned. That never happened. When I called the following evening, I learned the hotel had allowed someone else to reserve the king suite I had been told would be held for me. I spent two of my four nights in a queen suite instead of the king suite I paid for. Neither the hotel nor Super.com adequately compensated me. The hotel said it could not reimburse me because I booked through a third party. I contacted Super.com while standing at the hotel; after speaking with hotel staff, Super.com ultimately offered only 15% — about $55 — nowhere near what I considered the lost value of receiving the wrong room for half my stay. Unfortunately, the reservation problem was only part of the experience. The condition and cleanliness of the rooms were unacceptable. I encountered: • Torn/damaged curtains • Sloppy paint where it clearly did not belong • Surfaces that appeared not to have been wiped down • Significant dust and grime • What appeared to be urine and fecal residue on the toilet seat after I was told the room had been cleaned • Three discarded intimate-use items behind the entertainment center I did not feel comfortable touching many counters, tables, or other surfaces. This was more than an older hotel; basic cleaning and maintenance appeared neglected. Worse, after I pointed out missed cleaning to staff, I walked around the corner. They apparently thought I had left, but I could still hear them laughing afterward. Hearing cleaning staff laugh immediately after I raised legitimate sanitation concerns was incredibly unprofessional. The suite layouts were also surprisingly different. The queen suite offered better privacy, with a separate living area and two doors between the hallway/entrance and bedroom. The king suite was much more open, with only one door. For the upgraded room, I expected at least the same privacy and noise separation. The king bed/frame was also noticeably unstable and shook far more than I would expect from a hotel bed. I do want to recognize two employees who treated me with genuine kindness. Inez was extremely understanding and allowed me to get food and snacks from the hotel's snack area while I was in a very difficult financial situation. That meant more than she probably realized. Nevaeh went even further. On the morning I left, I could not afford transportation to the airport, and she personally helped pay for my Lyft. That was not the hotel — it was an individual employee choosing to help another person. I intend to repay her and sincerely appreciate what she did. Those two employees deserve recognition. The hot tub/jacuzzi was enjoyable, and once I received the king suite, the king-size bed itself was comfortable despite the unstable frame. Those were the main positives. But individual acts of kindness from two employees do not erase the larger problems. A hotel room should be clean. A promised room change should be honored. If a guest pays for a higher-value room and receives a lower-value room for half the stay, there should be a reasonable effort to make that guest whole. For travelers considering this hotel because the price looks affordable, I strongly recommend looking carefully at other options first. Saving money is not much of a bargain when the room is poorly maintained, inadequately cleaned, and the room you paid for is not the room you receive.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. This place is so outdated that the carpets look like they have stories from the 1980s. The bathroom is so ridiculously small that turning around becomes a full-body activity. I could barely move without my ass cheek making contact with a wall, the sink or some other unknown bathroom fixture. The room also smells strongly of mildew, which is always a lovely surprise when you’re trying to relax. Then, as if the room needed a little extra excitement, I looked over and saw a SPIDER crawling on my pillow. Apparently I booked a room with complimentary wildlife. And the AC unit? Sounds like it’s preparing for takeoff every time it turns on. I understand needing white noise to sleep, but I didn’t ask for an overnight flight experience. Overall, this hotel desperately needs some updating, a deep cleaning and possibly an exterminator. We left after being here for 20 minutes and went somewhere else .. I wouldn’t be comfortable staying at this hotel.
