Birmingham’s gay sauna scene largely stays in Ladywood, right in the Gay Village. You’ll find several spots within walking distance of each other, all around Hurst Street.
Spartacus Sauna
This is the best-rated sauna in Birmingham. It has a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, bar, dark rooms, and private cabins. They do themed events regularly. It's clean, well-managed, and people consistently like it.
Unit 2
You'll find Unit 2 right in the Gay Village. It has a steam room, jacuzzi, dry sauna, a big cinema screen, dark rooms, and private cabins. It's kept up well and is easy to get to.
Greenhouse Sauna
Greenhouse is on Hurst Street itself, the main strip. It has themed nights, dark rooms, and glory holes. It's one of the cheaper spots, and it stays open until 11pm on weekdays.
Sweat Sauna
Sweat Sauna is in Digbeth. It’s your latest option, open until 2am. Dark rooms, a sling, and themed events. If you're looking for something after the bars close, this is it.
The Gay Village Context
Hurst Street is the backbone of Birmingham's gay area. Bars and clubs like The Missing Bar, Nightingale Club (one of the UK's oldest gay clubs), and Sidewalk are all nearby. Birmingham Pride in late May draws people from all over the Midlands.
