Cruelty to animals! These poor animals are kept in very small enclosures, nobody should pay for this! Please think with your hearts 🙏

Had the good fortune of staying overnight in the giraffe treehouse. Our day started with a guided tour of the zoo where our guide - Cooper provided educational and entertaining commentary throughout. This was followed by the highlight of feeding the giraffes from our balcony. After a couple of free hours, we enjoyed an amazing dinner at the Jamala restaurant with accompanying wine and champagne. Waking up the next morning for breakfast at 8, we found the giraffes wandering around outside our bedroom window once more. After a relaxing morning wandering the zoo as all the animals were waking up and enjoying breakfast, we checked out at 11 and made the journey home to Melbourne. My wife and I had a wonderful time and both feel very fortunate to have been able to participate in this delightful experience.

Absolutely great, the whole experience , from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave treated like you are special, wonderful animal right outside your door, beautiful food, fantastic rooms, and very friendly staff

One night I stayed in the Giraffe Treehouse, and waking up with giraffes literally outside the balcony was something I will never forget. Feeding them and watching their gentle curiosity up close felt surreal. Moments like that make you feel deeply connected to nature. Another night was spent in one of the lion rooms. Falling asleep while majestic lions rested just beyond the glass was powerful and strangely peaceful at the same time. Hearing them at night reminds you that you are sharing space with truly magnificent creatures. What makes this place extraordinary is not just the animals — it’s the people. Every member of the team was warm, passionate and incredibly knowledgeable. You can genuinely feel their love and respect for the animals and for conservation. A special thank you to the wonderful guides and volunteers: Connor, who is truly in love with animals and shares that passion with everyone around him; Sabrina and Imagen, who were incredibly kind, attentive and inspiring during every tour. And of course a huge thank you to Will Tran, who organised everything so beautifully and fills the entire place with energy, warmth and positivity. The guided tours were fascinating, allowing us to learn so much about the animals while seeing them incredibly close. It felt like being behind the scenes of a wildlife world most people never get to experience. And the food… absolutely exceptional. Elegant multi-course dinners, beautiful breakfasts, and unforgettable high tea. Dining while looking out toward wildlife creates a magical atmosphere you simply cannot recreate anywhere else. The lodge itself is filled with character, African art and beautiful details. The rooms are luxurious yet designed so that the animals remain the true stars of the experience. This isn’t just a hotel stay — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with wildlife, nature and wonder. I left feeling grateful, inspired and deeply moved by the experience. You just have to add this experience to your bucket list. Jamala is the most wonderful place to stay, and the see beautiful animals. The park is beautiful and thoughtfully setup for both animals and people to enjoy. The aquarium is great we spent a lot of time in there.We were lucky enough to meet Richard Tindale one of the owners, he is a lovely man and his staff are all so nice and very helpful. They just want you to have a wonderful time. Thank you so much for your awesome gift to my husband and myself we loved the lemur room. With the heated pool right outside our door.It is so luxurious & the bed was so comfortable. We had great views over the park on one side and of course the lovely sweet lemurs on the other side. We really appreciate your generosity so much.The main building has so many beautiful things that have been collected over the years. There is so much to see and do.

Jamala was on top of my bucket list of things to do. It went over and above my expectations. We stayed in the Lion Bungalow and the lion was on show the whole time he slept right next to our window all night. The park and Aquarium itself beautiful and well set up The owner and his staff are so nice and helpful they go over and above and very knowledgeable. We went on a tour of the park and it was fantastic. The room is lovely and with great views. The main building for dinner and breakfast was set up to perfection and staff were amazing food was exceptional. There is so much to see and do. Make it a must see
