A hotel from the 1940s, that has today's necessities. The hotel is clean and well maintained for its age. Staff is friendly and the doorman always gets the door. However, our bed is hard as a brick and the AC cools the room but doesn't make it cold. But it was 99 degrees most of our stay. It is best location out of all the hotel's. Everything is a 3 to 10 min walk. You walk out the door and within 100 feet is a Burger King, Starbucks is a block over, and tons of local restaurants along with the US Embassy all within a 8 minute walk.

Was honestly not expecting much and thought it would be just another old, run-down, creepy hotel—but I was so wrong. The hotel’s main asset is the building itself: a 1930s Manila Art Deco landmark. It claims to have the longest continuously operating elevator in the Philippines. The public spaces are modest but well maintained. Location – It’s right across from where I needed to be early in the morning, so it served its purpose perfectly. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including a Burger King next door and a 7-11 just around the corner. Since it’s along a very busy road, it can get quite noisy. Room – It looked a bit tired, and it seemed like the last renovation was done in the late ’90s or early 2000s. Still, everything worked well, and for a one-night stay, it was more than good enough. They could definitely replace the AC unit. Staff – Helpful and polite, always smiling and ready to assist. Most of the guests were there for visa interviews at the U.S. Embassy, and the staff were wishing everyone good luck, which was a nice touch. Price – $20 USD a night for a basic room—totally worth it.
