Farose Sauna – Saphan Kwai

This place is AWESOME. Huge, haunted house vibes (pretty sure there's ghosts in there, too), an interesting crowd instead of the usual generic sauna-goers elsewhere. Cats, abandoned rooms, empty levels and really cool people. The only sauna with tops in the whole of Bangkok.

The former glory is still faintly visible: the venue is large and the atmosphere is still lively, but the facilities are aging, hygiene is questionable, the pool is dry, and the mattresses are tattered. If it were thoroughly renovated and cleaning improved, it could return to being one of the top men's saunas in Bangkok; currently, it is only suitable for those seeking nostalgia and novelty.

Actually, I would like to suggest to the owners that all the negative comments should be improved, such as the issue of the staff having service mind and the issue of the person at the guardhouse raising their voice at the customers. Honestly, if we assume that we can handle these two issues, because I don't feel it myself, many people feel it, I think Pharos will be more approachable and attractive to people who live far away like me.
