DORMERO Hotel Halle

A two-day business trip booking made through HRS was cancelled at 5 PM on the day of arrival. That's unacceptable.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. The stairwell is littered with rubble and dust, and furniture has been torn out. The double room only had a few towels, and the lights in the hallway flickered. While we could have been given a different room, the entire building is filthy. The hotel cannot be opened to guests in this condition.

A well-equipped house with suitable facilities for balls, for example, for the Eichelmann dance school, which we always enjoy attending. There aren't that many options in Halle...

A defective hotel: the elevator was broken, the air conditioning remote's battery was dead, then the air conditioning itself malfunctioned, creating a puddle of condensation on the floor next to the bed. The parquet flooring in the hallway outside the bathroom was partially torn up, posing a safety hazard. And because of a system malfunction, they could charge credit cards but couldn't issue an invoice. At least the staff were helpful upon arrival, the reception was unmanned at check-out, and the breakfast was good.

I expect a hotel to take a clear stance on fundamental democratic values. The fact that events organized by the Alternative for Germany (AfD) were allowed to take place here, where deportations were discussed in a problematic manner, is unacceptable to me.

I fail to understand why a demonstrably far-right party is given premises for supposed "citizen dialogues" that ultimately only serve to spread lies and hate speech. What a shame!

An extremely friendly and warm welcome, a beautifully situated hotel in the heart of Halle. Currently undergoing renovations, but it already looks fantastic. A lovely ambiance with antique furniture and very modernly designed rooms. A very pet-friendly hotel with a big heart for animals. Thank you for the genuine hospitality.

I was on a business trip and stayed at the Dormero. Upon arrival, after receiving my key, I was informed that the elevator wasn't working. The room was on the 5th floor. You really think twice about going up and down there... The room had apparently been renovated, but it certainly wasn't finished. In the bathroom, shower gel and hand soap were simply sitting on the table (no holder), as was the toilet paper (no holder). I only found the switch for the illuminated mirror by chance on the back (the light was off, and the bathroom was quite dark). The bed was new (a box spring) and comfortable – but that was about it. The TV remote was missing batteries, the channel order was random, and there was no minibar (space had been prepared for a refrigerator, but it was missing). The balcony door didn't close properly, the balcony was neglected (broken tiles), and the room hadn't been vacuumed in a long time (dust bunnies were flying all over the place)... The construction site in the hotel (floors 1-3), which has been mentioned several times already, is a real joke! The hotel smelled of carpet glue, the carpet in the hallways was only half-heartedly covered, and tools and building materials were lying around everywhere. Nothing against construction sites, but they could have done a better job – if they wanted to. Breakfast... The cappuccino from machine number 1 was undrinkable, number 2 was okay. The scrambled eggs were dry and tasteless, the cold cuts and cheese were carelessly arranged, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. All in all, 2 stars for the central location and the good mattress, but I won't be staying here again. They could do so much more with it; the building itself is pretty. It just all felt very neglected. A shame 😞

The premises are a bit dated, but the location makes up for it! It's a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with Halle (it's best to enter the garage into your GPS instead of the hotel ;) ). Good value for money and friendly staff. We would definitely come back!
