Parkhotel 1901 Mannheim

My children say, "This is the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in." Its slightly shabby but solid charm gives hope that many people will stay there to finance a careful renovation that will preserve the 1901 foundation with its lovely 1980s patina. Charming, very helpful staff!

The location is good, but the rooms are dirty and have stains on the wall; it was very disgusting in my opinion. The service was good, but the rooms were very dirty.

Great hotel near the train station, good value for money. From here you're right in the city center, and the water tower and its park are practically on your doorstep. The tram stop is right outside, and the train station is within easy walking distance. There's a wide variety of restaurants nearby; we chose the "Freßgasse" (food street), where one high-quality restaurant follows another. The proximity to various event venues is also ideal; the Rose Garden and the National Theatre (unfortunately undergoing renovations in 2026) are within walking distance. The only downside is the traffic. However, there are plenty of rooms facing the courtyard, and it was surprisingly quiet. We'll be back! :D

It looks like a classic hotel complex. It's only a 15-minute walk to the main train station and also has a larger breakfast buffet.

We booked a Junior Suite and would like to point out a few things that unfortunately detracted from our stay. The nightlights in the room and the air conditioning didn't work during our stay. The room also seemed to be in need of some renovation. We also noticed small details like missing coffee spoons. The staff was friendly, but we expected a bit more comfort and amenities in a Junior Suite. We hope these issues will be addressed in the future.

Stunning hotel if you love classic. Perfect location. Old, but neatly maintained, good beds. Very extensive breakfast.

A very nice hotel that I would gladly stay at again next time. The only things to complain about were that our room had a broken electrical outlet and the TV remote had dead batteries, but that's really nitpicking.

Since another review was deleted for defamation, here are just a few photos I took myself. On the positive side, the location of the accommodation is great.

Lawn in the park in front of the hotel, 10/10! Room solid and stylish, bed super comfortable. Towels smelled strange, but we received fresh ones immediately. Very friendly staff. The hotel hallways have a shining vibe.

A very nice hotel. The rooms are newly renovated. Very good mattresses. The room was large and quiet. We were very satisfied. I take it all back! No room service, they at least brought toilet paper, which every youth hostel does. The bar closed again. Okay, he had a beer in the room. Where's the ice cream opener? A call from the hotel phone. The call was interrupted several times. Then we finally got through. A nice young man brought us an ice cream opener. That's simply awful.
