Georgia's Garden Hotel

We booked 3 nights at this hotel, which is located 9 km from the airport and 5-6 km from the center of Heraklion. A bus is available. It takes 20 minutes with no traffic and 30-35 minutes with it. The rooms are fairly standard and not "luxurious," but the bedding is very comfortable. The garden is beautiful, but it's a shame the jacuzzi wasn't working and the garden wasn't well-maintained; the sun loungers were a bit dirty, and some of the decking boards were damaged. The airport shuttle costs €35 because it's very early (5:15 am). Special mention goes to the breakfast and the half-board dinner, where everything was excellent.

A rather quiet, intimate hotel (around twenty rooms) with a charming, well-maintained garden. Having breakfast by the pool is a great way to start the day. The breakfast buffet offers a varied selection of sweet and savory dishes, including freshly squeezed orange juice. The hotel's resident cat, George, demands his chicken every morning. The staff is helpful. We stayed three nights at the beginning of our holiday in late April in a junior suite, and on our last night, after returning from Chania, we were kindly upgraded to a suite even though we had only booked a triple room! An excellent choice for a family holiday.

First things first: if possible, book half-board. Dinner is an absolute highlight and unexpectedly good. And the staff in the evenings are so incredibly kind. They and the chef deserve five extra stars. And that's really not enough! 🔥 The room is basic, but perfectly fine. However, the bathroom definitely needs improvement. It's really old and smells awful. But I think that depends on the room. Generally, there's a lack of attention to detail here and there, and a bit more cleanliness would be nice. All in all, I felt very comfortable and would definitely come back.

The rooms are quite dated and, above all, dirty. We stayed for two days, and the floor remained dirty despite our requests for cleaning. The staff is very kind and pleasant, which is a shame because the cleanliness of our room spoiled the experience. We were disappointed by the discrepancy between the photos and reality. The location is great; the beach is close, and there is parking available.

Amazing and lovely experience! The staff especially Ida (I hope we got her name right) was extremely helpful and gave us A LOT of tips around the island.The room was clean and simple with all the basic stuff.The breakfast was at their partner hotel just a 10 minutes away (due to Off-Season) - it was good buffet spread. The team was very helpful in navigating our 12 hours delayed flight by giving us a discounted late check out .We are extremely grateful!

We adored our stay here. We visited during the winter and the staff were so kind and accomodating and our room was beautiful with a lovely modern bathroom. The included buffet breakfast was also divine. We rented a car through Mustang Car Rentals who the hotel helped us to organise and we couldn’t be more grateful. We will definitely be visiting Crete again.

A very warm welcome, very friendly staff, especially the gentleman with glasses who is very nice. The breakfast is plentiful and offers a lot of choice. I recommend it.

The hotel is 5 km from the center of Heraklion. We had a car, so this wasn't a problem. During the off-season, we always found parking in Heraklion. Otherwise, there's a free parking lot 1.5 km outside the city. The hotel itself also has a parking lot. The beach is only a 2-minute walk away. It consists of dark sand and is partly stony. Water shoes are recommended for sensitive feet, but most guests go into the water without them. We had booked a room with twin beds but received a double bed on the day of arrival. The next day, we were given a larger room with one double bed and two single beds. The rooms are a standard size, and each of the two rooms has a balcony. There was air conditioning, a hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo, a refrigerator, and good Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, if you removed the power card, the refrigerator and charging of electrical devices no longer worked. For a three-star hotel, the breakfast was fantastic. Specialty coffees cost extra, but there was coffee, hot chocolate, and various teas. Juice, water, milk, and freshly squeezed orange juice were also available. Dark and light toast, bread and rolls, croissants, two different jams, two different honeys, peanut butter, fried eggs, ham and bacon, warm vegetables, three different types of sausage and cheese. A variety of fruits and vegetables, feta cheese, olive tapenade, yogurt, hazelnuts, walnuts, raisins, prunes, banana chips, and a crunchy topping that looked homemade. The service was very attentive, with frequent refills, and even small special requests like soft-boiled and scrambled eggs were accommodated. There were also various other breakfast items, such as spinach-filled puff pastry or crêpes. The tables outside seemed to be wiped down very infrequently. Once there was no hot water, and our toilet wouldn't flush. Everything was resolved immediately. The staff is very friendly and takes care of everything right away.
