Rooms were clean, breakfast was great.

The Hotel is really fantastic.the rooms are nice. Nothing is missing there. Breakfast is great as well, with a really vast choice. The Restaurant is not quite at the same level as the hotel. Wine was served in simple glasses - not made of crystal. That’s a total “no go” for a hotel of this level. The main waiter was excellent. Service of water and wine was somewhat deficient - I would expect not to help myself to water, and even less to wine (the bottle was placed on a separate tray, so reaching for it wasn’t obvious). Food quality was good. The wine list lacks selections of wines from other countries. As to Italy, it features a basic selection of the most renowned wines - so that was ok. But in a hotel of this standing, I would have expected a much wider choice.

Arrived after a long journey on the train to a warm and friendly staff who welcomed me, allowing me to check in a bit earlier and made my stay so comfortable and enjoyable that I wish this hadn't been a one night stay. The hotel is beautiful and staff very attentive and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious, the location was fantastic, we could walk a couple of streets to the shopping district where there are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants, or stay on the harbor and enjoy the promenade.

Nice hotel. But can you please put other sweets than these kinds of licorice on the room?
