Marie-José and René are exceptional hosts! They truly went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. The château is beautiful, and our room was superb as well. Very spacious, tastefully decorated, and the bedding was of very high quality. The meal was truly excellent; a lot of care went into each dish. Breakfast was also wonderful, with a wide selection of high-quality products. We had a fantastic time, thank you! Julie and Romain 🇨🇵🇮🇹

I highly recommend it; it's a beautiful place. The garden is lovely, with an indoor pool. Very welcoming, and the food is excellent.

A welcoming and warm place. The hosts are truly friendly. The lady of the house is a really good cook. A quiet location. The castle was completely restored by the owners over many years. The decor isn't historically accurate, but it has a certain charm; you feel like you're in a castle and you sleep well. Located near many places to visit: Verdun, St. Mihiel, and the Troyon fort. It's very well situated.

We discovered a hidden gem here. Starting with the owners, who have breathed new life into the château with such passion. They are truly delightful hosts. And the food is simply divine. If we could award stars, we would definitely give this place one. It was our first visit, but certainly not our last.

What an incredible experience! After a long emotionally exhausting day of visiting the Verdun War Museum, battle sites, and the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetary in cold rain, we arrive at a warm beautifully renovated chateau greeted by the owner, operator, and renovator, Monsieur Rene Eichenaeur, who immediately treated us like family. M.Eichenauer and his wife, Marie Josie, run the Chateau which they rescued from destruction in 1981. In addition to a very comfortable and large guest room (the old Count’s bedroom), the rate includes an incredible dinner and breakfast cooked by Marie Josie and served by Rene. Marie Josie is a chef of high caliber. The food was fantastic!!!! I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and stay at the Chateau de Labessier if you are anywhere in the area. What an unexpected and divine experience!!! A plus is visiting with René who had such interesting stories to tell and photos of the renovation to share!!!
