Park Plaza Cardiff

The hotel itself was perfectly adequate for our needs (central, clean, good bed and peaceful), although the interior design is a little soulless. It really needs the hard edges softening - colour, paintings, flowers, cushions on sofas etc. The highlight for us was Omar who was managing breakfast. He was very kind and ensured we had everything, all with a sincere smile and attention to customer service (5 stars). One tip for the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) is to lower the volume of the background music. Otherwise a very satisfactory stay.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea! Omar served us and was very attentive and bough a lovely vibe to the lunch. Food was lovely and was nice to have a different choice with the gentleman's afternoon tea!

Booked the gentleman's afternoon tea for my sisters 40th birthday in the Laguna restaurant! Omar was fantastic, he made an already enjoyable experience 10 times better. He made us laugh, took photos for us and checked in to see if we were doing okay several times!! Thanks Omar

We had a fantastic stay at Park Plaza, yet again. The spa facilities are wonderful. The staff are warm and friendly and the breakfast is delicious with lots of healthy options, or treats dependingon ehat you fancy! There's a lovely chef who always makes me the best poached eggs and today we were looked after by Omar who was so friendly and attentive. Loved staying here so much that I've just changed my booking at another hotel for next week and will be back sooner than I thought. Top tip...pre book NCP parking in Greyfriars Rd as when it gets busy e.g. with events you can still get to your space. Feel like I've had a holiday and it's been less than 24hours! Omar made a fantastic impression during our visit to the buffet at Park Plaza Cardiff. He was exceptionally warm and welcoming, greeting guests with genuine friendliness and ensuring everyone felt comfortable from the moment they arrived. What stood out most was how well-organised and professional he was. Omar managed the buffet area seamlessly, keeping everything running smoothly while remaining attentive to guests’ needs. His calm and efficient approach, combined with his positive attitude, created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear that Omar takes great pride in his work, and his excellent management and customer service skills made our experience all the more memorable.
