Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Downtown

The room, staff, and location were great! The waiters at breakfast were kind and engaging and accommodating. Shane was very courteous during our check out. The only issue, however, was the valet parking. We missed a dinner reservation because our car wasn't retrieved in enough time. We waited over 45 minutes. Then when it was brought to us , we told the driver to return the car to the valet area. He was rude. It was brought to our attention that the valet is a 3rd party service. And that the person on duty went home. Please secure a better company for the valet parking.

This is a great place to stay if you’re in Richmond. We have our pups with us and they are dog friendly. The resident Sweet rooms are great. Athena and Thomas were very helpful and accommodating our request.

Everything was wonderful. I was grateful for the cold water always available after my explorations. My room was crisp and fresh. The location is in walking distance from many fun things. At checkout I met Shane. Shane was so beautifully refreshing with a genuine smile. Shane was also helpful in helping me stow my bags until I left for the airport and recommended a couple of sites to visit, including the state capital and women’s garden statues, which was well worth it. Thank you, Shane!!!

Five stars for Shane at the front desk! From the moment I walked into the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Richmond, they made me feel genuinely welcome. Their warmth, professionalism, and top-tier hospitality set the tone for an incredible stay. Shane represents the absolute best of Marriott's service—I'll definitely be back!

Nice hotel, the only major drawback is the non-functional Wi-Fi. Well, it has Wi-Fi and you can connect, but it doesn't work. I wasn't the only one with this problem. This is unacceptable in 2026.

Kris is the best. Ben is awesome. And they have uncrustables!
