We really enjoyed the Trout Salad and the whole Plaice as we opted for the 'smaller plates'. Really good value. They were ample for us, with a side of fried potatoes and aioli. My cider was absolutely delicious and lovely and cold! We will definitely return.

Underwhelming and overpriced. Not sure why we had a service charge on our bill for breakfast, drinks took too long and service was standard.

A lovely, friendly inn in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Just what I was hoping for during a day of sightseeing. The Red Nitro amber ale is excellent 👌

Restaurant: The immediate surroundings appear tranquil and, at first glance, rather uninspiring, though this can be quite charming depending on one's own preferences. Located on the uphill side of the ferry terminal in Totnes, a lovely town with attractive shops, The Bull Inn restaurant is situated. However, we didn't regret the trip. The interior design cleverly blends British and historical elements in a way that feels surprisingly modern. Similarly, the dishes, while respecting their traditional origins, possess a contemporary flair. It's also pleasing to see that the restaurant's motto of "quality over quantity" is truly embraced. Following a sustainable approach, for which the restaurant has even received awards, the majority of the menu features vegetarian dishes. On the day we visited, these were complemented by mussels, fish, beef carpaccio, and a chicken dish, offering a selection that should satisfy everyone. As a result, it's a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike, open almost all day. The latter might also be drawn to the restaurant's excellent accommodation options. The rooms, with their previously described style, have a pleasing atmosphere. In addition to the rooms, some of which are of a manageable size, an apartment is also available.

Had dinner with 3 friends here. Make sure to book as we weren’t successful in getting a table on spec the night before. Really loved the interior, menu, drinks and approach to sustainability. Most of staff super lovely and helpful. We shared a mix of small and large plates - all delicious.

Fantastic stay. Tasteful rooms, with a touch of sustainability in everything they do. Food was almost as amazing as the service.

Not my idea of a place to go but I do understand what they are achieving. We stay a few yards away from the Bull and the pub was always busy. If you are into organic food and drink give it a try.

What they do with vegetables is amazing. The meat and fish dishes are fabulous too. A lovely taste experience
