Grupo Dignidade

Grupo Dignidade is one of Brazil's oldest and most important LGBTI+ organisations, founded in Curitiba in March 1992. In 1997 it became the first LGBTI+ group in the country to be granted federal public-utility status. From its offices in the city centre it provides legal and psychological support, rapid HIV testing and citizenship advocacy, and it runs the CEDOC LGBTI+ documentation centre (Centro de Documentação Prof. Dr. Luiz Mott). Dignidade helped found Curitiba's Pride movement and remains a cornerstone of LGBTQ+ life in Paraná.
