Aranwa Pueblito Encantado del Colca

Stayed 2 nights what a lovely setting with the Colca river running passed the complex, waterfalls, ornamental rivers, pools, lots of ornamental follies. The room was very nice with a lovely bathroom and little balcony. Breakfast was ok, you won’t go hungry but not as comprehensive as the other hotels we have visited so far. The room had no heating or air conditioner, it was very cold here morning and night. There was a small outdoor pool and an indoor pool house but this was in need of decoration and the water in the pool was dirty. The restaurant and bar area was pleasant but there is not enough comfortable chairs, I went to the bar and one group of 10-12 people had pulled the chairs all together around the wood burner, there was no comfortable chairs available for others, which may limit bar sales and we just went back to our room. WiFi only worked in the restaurant and reception, this was big one for me as no emergency contact with family at home. All in all some pro’s and some con’s.

Very nice hotel. A bit noisy and somewhat warm at night; due to flies, it is not advisable to open the doors. I recommend mosquito nets in the balcony doors; otherwise, very good. Food in the restaurant, from breakfast to dinner, is very good. The location is stunning.

The Wi-Fi isn't great, but it's fine for those who want to relax and disconnect.

The Aranwa Pueblito Encantado del Colca is a hotel situated directly on the river, outside of the towns, and built in the style of a small village. The hotel is very romantically designed with several waterfalls and small streams. It has a small spa area. The indoor pool is in need of renovation. However, the massage was excellent. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers good cuisine. The breakfast buffet is small but adequate. The rooms are very spacious and have a shower and a huge bathtub. The furnishings are modern.

The location and everything the hotel offers is ideal for relaxing and enjoying your days in the best way.

A quiet, beautiful place with very efficient staff.

A huge disappointment. I arrived with a group of 28 people. Apparently, they already had a water problem at check-in, but they never bothered to communicate it. All night they kept telling us it was fixed, but there was no hot water in any of the rooms. The manager was supposed to contact me, but I'm still waiting. I understand that there can be infrastructure problems, but for a hotel of this category, their communication policy is terrible.

A beautiful place with stunning scenery, elegant and comfortable rooms, and excellent service at reception and in the restaurant. Fun recreational activities. A place to disconnect and relax. Varied and delicious food.

This hotel is terrible. If you don't die on the 45 minute, steep and dirt road on the way down, then you're lucky! I had to leave the car more than once to move rocks in the way. This is the WORST road to a hotel I've ever been to (considering I've been to Guatemala, Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina ect). You cannot drive a rental car down here: it is too narrow, too steep and full of terrible potholes. The rooms were OK, but they smelled, were full of mosquitoes and there was hair on the bed sheets. Breakfast ended at 9 am and was terrible. The restaurant was very slow, taking 1+ hr to serve food. Unacceptable. Once you finish the hell of a drive, you reach reception who is VERY rude. They threatened to send one member of our group back even though this was the only hotel we had seen from hours of desolate driving.
