Birds of a Feather Victoria Ocean Lagoon B&B

My husband and I stayed in the "family" room. Very cute. Has a queen bed, a full small kitchen and 2 twin beds in an upstairs loft. Right on the water, lots of walking possibilities, and fresh made muffins in the mornings. Excellent place if you're looking for a comfy place with a kitchen without the cost of a full house or apartment.

Outstanding Stay – Highly Recommend! ​We absolutely loved our 3-night stay at Birds of a Feather B&B and cannot recommend it highly enough. ​The location is spectacular and wonderfully quiet, providing the perfect peaceful retreat while remaining highly accessible. Parking was completely seamless and hassle-free throughout our entire stay. Our room was excellent—immaculately clean, comfortable, and exactly what we expected based on the description. ​The highlight of our mornings was undoubtedly the outstanding breakfast. A very special mention must go to the muffins, which my daughter officially rated as the absolute best muffins we have ever had! Beyond the fantastic food, Dieter's expert guidance and local recommendations were incredibly helpful, allowing us to maximize our time and get the absolute most out of our days exploring Vancouver Island. ​It is worth noting that the accommodation does operate with specific rules, such as a fixed breakfast starting time and precise guidelines on how to handle things around the property. Everything is clearly described on their website and detailed in the welcome letter, so it all makes perfect sense to us. However, if you are someone who dislikes structure or following set rules, that is simply something to keep in mind. ​For us, the structure, hospitality, and pristine setting made for a perfect family trip. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Dieter & Paphada are amazing hosts and owners of this lovely property! The rooms are very clean, roomy, and isolated from each other so it's very peaceful even with guests staying in the other rooms. We love the fresh muffins every morning and attentiveness\availability if we ever needed something during the stay and the plethora of wildlife nearby was so serene. We absolutely will stay here again on a future trip!

Everything was great, from the rooms to the overall service and the location (perfect if you want to enjoy the countryside while still being close to Victoria). Breakfast was also a very nice experience and a great way to start the day. The host was one of a kind, thoughtful, genuinely kind, and friendly.

I have loved all of my visits to Birds of a Feather. No a single complaint. Yesterday as I was leaving the owner ran out to my car with a freshly baked muffin and to thank me for coming. The property is so peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend.

Such a unique place to stay in the West Shore with an equally unique vibe and view. The owner and his wife are very sweet people and are an absolute pleasure to deal with. I was introduced to this place by a friend and will definitely be introducing it to others in the future. If you’re staying in Victoria, this place is a must!

Really enjoyed my stay here. It's perfectly quiet and unassuming. The hosts are very accommodating yet unobtrusive. The view from the dock is gorgeous and you can kayak the lagoon in one of their kayaks or bike or walk to ocean Blvd which is a lovely little road that fronts both the lagoon and the straight. If you want peace and quiet I can't reccomend this place enough.
