El Patio 77 B&B

This place is an absolute gem. We stayed at El Patio 77 for 4 nights and were very sad to leave. The rooms are very generous and beautiful, the employees extremely friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Can absolutely recommend this gorgeous place and will hopefully return!

We loved our accommodations. Truly a unique experience you can’t get elsewhere. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Everything about the experience radiated quality from the lavender shampoo to the tasty authentic breakfast. The hosts are so genuine and kind and I would absolutely stay here again.

We wanted to stay here for our trip so we got in touch with the hotel. Luisa helped us with all our questions in a really kind fashion throughout the process. Unfortunately our plans changed at the last minute so we couldn't complete our reservation but this is a sign of great management and a fantastic customer experience. Thank you!

My partner and I had a beautiful stay in Patio 77! Elvia, Saúl, and her team were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay. You can tell that they treat Patio 77 as their own home and they want to make sure that their guests feel the same way. The hotel itself is beautiful. The pictures online truly do represent how charming and picturesque the space is. It’s also located in a neighborhood where you can appreciate the daily lifestyle of the locals. We look forward to staying here again during our next trip to CDMX 🫶🏻

El Patio 77 is a magical place, and we couldn’t recommend it more. We stayed for 7 nights and weren’t ready to leave. The space itself is stunning and beautifully decorated yet very comfortable. Elvia and the team provided top notch customer service with care - we especially appreciated the delicious breakfast every morning. My partner and I are a lesbian couple and felt very safe, definitely a very LGBTQIA+ friendly hotel! We loved the neighborhood, San Rafael, for its authenticity, history, food, and proximity to a lot of other things on our itinerary. We felt that a lot of areas were walkable, if not a short metro or taxi ride away. We’re so happy to have found this special gem in such an incredible city, we can’t wait to be back!

I had an excellent stay here. On the tail end of my travels, I knew I wanted something a bit more ✨luxe✨. I am so happy I chose El patio 77. It's just BEAUTIFUL! You are well taken care of and that begins from before you even arrive. Communicating on WhatsApp was actually a really nice touch — it made the experience more personable, and I was able to ask a few questions ahead of time (like, is there hair conditioner? [the answer is yes]). Because I had a change in my itinerary, I ended up in two different rooms (Veracruz & Jalisco), which was a neat experience. Both were gorgeous. It gave me an even deeper appreciation for the hotel's layout. - A few stand outs: the breakfast (sure you can get brunch out, but it's also nice to appreciate how thoughtfully designed the hotel is and enjoy a quiet moment before you venture out), the iron front gates (it's a great vibe, but also provided a sense of security), the staff (thank you for storing my luggage after I checked out so I could still have a day in the city before my flight — also thank you for taking care of my luggages when I switched rooms — ALSO THANK YOU to Axel for sourcing a cardboard box at my request, to make my soft-sided check-in bag more amenable to treats I was taking back home!). And once again, the design. It's just extremely thoughtful and quite elegant. - I hope I can come stay again sooner than later. I'm usually someone who chooses to try something new, but I would not hesitate to come back. It's really quite the gem.

I love this hotel! The two suites that we stayed in where beautiful and comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and the breakfasts were all original and delicious. The neighborhood is also good, with fewer tourists so I enjoyed living more like a local. I will definitely come back.

We spent four nights in this superb house. The suites are large, well laid out, and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts are plentiful and very good. The staff is always available and ready to help.

The hotel has a lot of charm, and there are several aspects we truly enjoyed. The interior is beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable, which made our stay pleasant overall. That said, there are a few areas where improvements would make a big difference. There was a noticeable sewage smell in the breakfast area, entrance, and other common spaces, which we experienced both in the mornings and when returning to the hotel. The location may also not suit everyone. The surrounding area felt dirty and not very inviting, and we did not feel comfortable walking around much. On one occasion, we saw someone using drugs right outside the hotel. In comparison, other parts of the city felt much safer and more pleasant. The wifi connection was unfortunately quite unstable and disconnected frequently, which made it difficult to rely on. In the room, the design was lovely and the bed very comfortable. However, the water pressure in the shower was quite low. Additionally, there was a request not to flush toilet paper but to dispose of it in a bin. This is understandable in some locations, but a bin liner would have made this more comfortable. One important point to mention is the bathroom layout. The bathroom and bedroom were essentially part of the same space, as the dividing wall did not extend to the ceiling. This meant there was very little sound privacy, which may be uncomfortable for some guests. We also noticed that the towels were not refreshed during our three-night stay. Given the price point, small additions such as bottled water in the room, stronger water pressure, and more reliable WiFi would further enhance the experience. Overall, the hotel has a unique character and many positive qualities. With a few adjustments, it could offer an even more enjoyable stay.
